Hi,

I am having lots of troubly burning mp3 disc with nero 6. (burning a disc full of mp3 files, not an audio disc from mp3's).
I keep getting the error "DMA-driver error, CRC error"

but my DMA is on for the burner drive. (according to nero info tool) I have tried lots of different media, all turn into coasters.
I have searched for firmware updtaes for my cd burner, but could not find any.

If anybody has any suggestions I would be most happy.

The following is a recent Log File:

The DMA for your HDD is off though, and you can have slow data transfer. Turn that on and see how it works.

I know the version of Nero that you have is problematic when burning DVDs. You might want to get version 6.6.0.18 instead, it is much more stable.

You also have a corrupt aspi:

Thanks for the reply,

the hd with DMA off is not being used in the burn process, it is a secondary drive with nothing on it at the mo'

I am burning cd's not dvd'd, how would i: "... get version 6.6.0.18 instead, it is much more stable."

thanks for the heads up re aspi, I noticed it looked off, but didn't know what to do,

cheers

Go on Nero website, download Nero Clean Tool and remove the current version of nero. Then install the new one from one of these links:

http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe

Thanks, but BIG problems first:

I installed new ASPI from: "Check out this thread on how to fix Aspi:

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/322188"

and on reboot the system cannot detect any hard drives.
No mbr nothing, (I am on a seperate sytem now) but after I installed the adapted ASPI my computer is compleatly toast, NO HARD DRIVE DETECTION. nothing in bios.
sorry for the caps, but i really need this sorted out soon.

By what I can see in your log, you DONT have a DVD burner, only a CD burner and a DVD ROM
