If you are under warrenty I would definantely take it back and get a new one. There is really no way of fixing it as the iPod is not water proof! LOL, sorry to hear that. :(

Dropping your iPod into water is not covered under Apple's Warranty scheme. fruitboy, it seems your iPod is most probably wrecked, as electrical items & water combined tend not to bode well. Go and spend £100 on a proper warranty plan that covers accidents as wel as mechanical errors.

See what happened I was at work and I had to use the restroom, finished up and well my ipod had video so.... and decided that I had time to rub one off. Next thing I know I hear the door open and it is my boss. So I scream oh s**t and "kerplunk"it drops into the water. (imaging what he thought ) Then I get up and I am trying to fish it out shifting throught the sewer brown trout. and my boss get's concerned and opens the stall there I am sporting wood with my hand swirling around. So on top of being the biggest dumbass at work I am out my ipod. Thanks any how/

This has worked on several iPods... Take a Hair Dryer put it on low and move it around the iPod about 2 inches away for about 30min. good luck!

PS dont melt the front! Is there water Bubles on the screen? If so you might want to try this a little longer!

Hmm, seems like you could crack it open and go at it with a hair-dryer like Domreis said, but if you crack it open that may be considered modding it and your warranty will vanish. That was a good story though, did you get fired?

Some places WILL take the ipod back. lol. My bro uses a shuffle to run. He sweats alot. He burnt out about 3-4 ipods before the year warrenty was up lol. Bestbuy didnt even ask. You might have to tell a "fib" lol.
Something like this "I dont know what happend" "It has neaver even got moist"
It is just bending the warrenty for your own good. Nothing bad ><

BTW i know where you are comming from with watching your ipod on the toileit. LOL i think everyone does just doesnt admit it. lol. The trick is you lean forward so if it falls it doesnt land in the toilet lol. Also try putting sothing soft where it would fall (bag)

I never said he need to crack it open, if you can get some of the moister out of the wires it might work again, but if it still under warrenty take it back and tell a fib!
