Hi, is there any good way to hide TV shows on you ipod? I just need to hide a group of things i purchased from itunes (all the same show/season). I dont care that i wont be able to veiw it while it is hiden. As long as i can put it back into veiw/playable whenever i want. like a simple drag and clink or copy and paste ^^

(btw the show is sleeper cell, That name might arise suspicion if my mom ever chekcks to see what show is have. DOnt think she will enjoy a show about terrorists on my ipod :( )

Delete it from iTunes & Update your iPod. Then, when you want to put it back on, just re-import the video file & Update your iPod once more.

That will require the file to acually be on the computer. My bro downloaded it onto his computer. Besides i was thinking more of the line of renaming the tv show so it thinks it was not purcahsed. Then it woundn't show up ^^. And besides haveing it on my computer is still pretty easy to check for it :( . They will neaver look for hidden files on my ipod. In fact they woundt know how lol =D

Because the news channels were stupid, they decieaded to do a special on
"porn on ipods" So, the deal that was made while i was getting the ipod was that whenever my mom wanted to check what was on it i had to let her into it. So i dont think screen lock will work lol :( . If it is an emergancy i that would be my last resort. "i forgot my password" ><

And will sharepod cancel my warrenty at bestbuy or anything?
And is it free? or how much does it cost?

Sharepod is a program that allows you to transfer files between your iPod & your PC. They way I showed you will work if you hide the files on your PC.

To hide a file, locate it, right click it & select 'properties' from the dropdown menu. Then, all you do is check the box next to 'hidden'.

Then, in 'My Computer', click 'Tools' ==> 'Folder Options'

When you are using the computer make sure the 'Show Hidden Files & Folders' option is checked, that way, you can still see the file. Then, everytime you finish using the computer, check the 'Don't Show Hidden Files & Folders' Option, and your material will not be seen.

The PC isnt the problem.
1) because i have my tricks :)
2) because it is not on the PC lol

The only problem i have is being able to hide the tv shows and they have them appear again(like just being able to group edit them quikly into reapearring again. Like mabey just going into my computer>find ipod>click it> then paste the files there. Then it wont know what to do with them. And when i want to i can just put them where they belong.

What is a common mistake people do while putting things on their ipod that it doesnt show up? then i can just purposely do that.
:) Thanks!

Download Sharepod, in Sharepod find the TV show you want and Transfer that show, (or season) to a hidden folder located on your iPod (to create a hidden folder on your iPod go to 'My Computer' open your 'iPod' right click scroll down too 'New' to 'New Folder', Now Right click on that 'New Folder' go to Properties and Select 'hidden' under attributes) Transfer the season using Sharepod to that New Hidden Folder then delete the season from the viewable place on your iPod using Sharepod! When you want to open that folder on your iPod so you can watch the TV shows iPod that hidden folder using Sharepod back to your iPod control!
If it?s not clear just reply!

Hitting the 'Print Screen' button and then pasting it into some sort of image editor I would assume.

I would use print screen then paint to cut the image to size.

When you want to open that folder on your iPod so you can watch the TV shows iPod that hidden folder using Sharepod back to your iPod control!
If it?s not clear just reply!" I found the season through sharepod and created my folder. Now my problem is how do i take the vidoes out and put them into the folder? Do i copy and past? Drag? Delete from Sharepod?

Thanks!

@ Dom

There is a print screen button on your keyboard, probably next to the F12 button. Then you open up Microsoft paint and paste, the image that was on your monitor when you hit print screen will then be in paint for you to edit!

Now go into your iPod from 'My Computer'
Create a New Folder!
Right Click on that folder and go to properties
In Properties select 'Hidden' to make the folder hidden!
Download Sharepod to you iPod!
Open Sharepod and locate your Videos
Copy your Videos from Sharepod to the hidden folder on your iPod by selecting back to PC!

Note you won?t be able to watch the videos while they are in the hidden folder! You will need transfer them back to your iPod using Sharepod! I assume you will be able to figure out how to do that!

You will also want your Computer to hide the hidden folder so go Tools- Folder Options- Tab- Do Not Show Hidden Files and Folders!
The Hidden folder will now be unseen to view the hidden folder go Tools- Folder Options- Tab- Show Hidden Files and Folders!

Had to do it in 3 posts to make it fit! LOL

Ok thanks for the post lol. I am doing a test run though. I can figure out how to get it back. It was saying something like "need to be in folder "...." or "...." to be able to be copyied." If i find that out it should be easy afterwards ><

Thanks for all the time you put into this lol!
