ipod is displayed as a removable disk in C:\mycomputer and fives me the folder sign so i tried restoring it but wen i open the updater it says "ipod service error" any knowlage on this would help
p.s. i already went to apple.com and nothin helped

I had that problem as well, but after I redownloaded the iPod software directly to my desktop that error seemd to disapear. So you may want to give that a go.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. Just reset your iPod. Then, iTunes should be able to recognise it.
