my ipod has been working fine but when i put it into the computer yesterday, it didnt appear in itunes like it usually does so i couldnt put songs on it and also when i connect my ipod it doesnt do anything!!!!!!!!! help please
Putting your iPod into disk mode forces it to mount on your computer.
Once you have done that, you need to restore your iPod back to "factory state" using the iPod Updater software. Again, if you are not sure how to do this, have a look through the following link..

After this, your iPod should be active as normal, though if it isn't, don't hesitate to post back ;-]
but i dont want to restore it cos then il lose everything! and now its in disk mode i cant get out of it!! how to i get it out of disk mode without restoring it?
