after using DVD decrypter and DVD2One going straight to CopyToDVD my file size is 11 Gigs. What gives? Trying to backup Harry Potter 2. Had to use DVDShrink and it worked fine. Any opinions on which of these programs has the best looking compression?

As far as I know, the only difference is the way they compress the movie but there should not be any difference in the quality of the movie after its compression.

I rip with smartripper and I use DVD2ONE to compress and it works fine with all the movie i've done yet. (50-60) then i burn them with NERO and all of them worked fine on my standalone dvd-player. with perfekt picture and sound.

I see nearly no difference with the original movie. even harry potter 2.

As long as DVD2ONE works fine i would use it.

I agree with HK71 in that I have also done 2+ hr movies and notice virtually no difference.

After doing a back up of 'Attack of the Clones' & 'Phantom Menace' convinced me (if I needed any) that DVD2One does its job very well.

If you enter a project into DVD2One and it produces a too large file to burn then just run it through again apparently.
I say that cos that problem has been mentioned numerous times.

I set DVD2One to 4300Mb and it hasn't steered me wrong so far (no large files that need re-run)

About the size of the compressed files with DVD2ONE... I've set the limit at 4450 and don't have any problem with the files.
A frend of my has an 120cm LCD-TV and he says that he sees an very little difference with the original. but it doesn't get a bad quality.
