Is your iPod software 1.1.1?

What kind of response is that? I am having the same problem, what is causing the problem? Does it have to be 1.1.1 or is that what the problem is?

no, but the 1.1 ipod firmware version has alot of problems with playing videos. I keep hearing that 1.1 version is very unstable, especially for the video iPods. I would suggest either downgrading to the 1.0 firmware version (From what I hear, it is the most stable) or you can just download a new version from apple.com

Here is a link for many Ipod updaters: http://www.ipodwizard.net/showthread.php?t=7369

Sorry, I dont know what one is 1.0, but if you google it or somthing, I sure you will find it. Or maybe lethal B knows the link.

Good luck though!

I would suggest that you guys update your iPod Firmware to version 1.1.1 to stop this problem, since there are no known bugs with it yet.

Use the iPod Updater to do this: http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

@Jazo

I thought that the 1.1.1 firmware versio was the one that had all of the problems? Is 1.1 the same as 1.1.1?

Just wondering

No mate, the 1.1 is the faulty one, and the 1.1.1 is the fairly new one released from apple that has all the little bugs fixed. ;-)

Not really. I think that they are both equally as stable at this point. I would go with the 1.1.1 updater as this one is the most current one and has no problems at all. http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

1.0 is better. It has proven to be stable, and, although 1.1.1 doesn't have any major issues, it's response time (at least in my case) is poor. I provided a link in the above FAQ to v1.0 if anyone is interested.

Well I went and updated to the 1.1.1, that fixed my problem. Now if I could only get my DVD's to rip good. :{
