Can anyone help me? I just purchased an ipod and ipod video converter :) however, when I attempt to RECORD dvd which by the way does play, I keep receiving an error message, "cannot create output file. Output folder does not exist or you have no permission to create files in output folder. Is there any hope for me or I'm I out of Luck!! Please help.

I don't have PQ DVD currently installed so I can't go step by step, but look under Settings or Options and find 'Output Folder' and make sure it is specifying a place for the files to go. It just sounds like you may have accidentally deleted or possibly moved the folder that it was going to output the converted video to.

Thanks for treating a NEWBIE with kindness. IT WORKED :p, I was able to download the movie, however, I am unable to add recorded to file in the libray and update iPod as instructed. Not only that, now the recorded movie appears on my desktop icon-quicktime 7.0. Is this suppose to happen. Ugh!! The file has been named mpeg 4 movie. HELP if you still can. Much thanks DarkJello, anyway.

Always glad to help, So you have your converted file, and it won't add to iTunes? Try shortening the name 'Mpeg 4 Movie' might be to long. Sometimes iTunes won't add files with long names. Once it is in iTunes you can rename it to whatever you want. Also if you are dragging the file into iTunes make sure you're dragging it to the Music Library section, and not the Movies section.

Wow, am I glad your my ANGEL, DarkJello, you are helpful. As far as dragging the movie to music libray, it actually will allow me to put it in the video library. Let me give you another challenge :P, What is the proper way to download dvd with side a and b. Give you example, I'm trying to download Lord of the ring.

To make it seem as one video file you would need some sort of video splicing program but I have no experience in that area, you could probably google it and find what you're lookin for. You would go about ripping the movie from each side as you normally would, you would just have two seperate files. If you don't mind there being a slight pause in the middle of the movie you could just leave it as two seperate files and make it a playlist. Then when the files on your iPod just go to the playlist and tell it to play, and it will automatically play side B after the side A is finished, just there will be a pause of a second or two.
