I've gone into page info/media tab and saved the embedded swf file, but it won't play when I try and open it. Any solutions out there - thanks in advance!
Read the tutorials.

Dear Adam, I have browse through the tutorial, the first post of this section is it? I have tried to use firefox to check for the embedded flash video but through page info but it just shown as swf, nothing else with 200+kb. I have also try to play the swf file but failed too. Do you have any idea or tips? Thanks..

I'm downloading it right now. It's going to be a huge file (it's over 400 MBs right now and it's not done- probably going to be in the high 700 MB range, at this rate), so be sure you have room for it.
Also, it's not in .swf. It's encoded in swf, but it's streamed in .FLV. I recommend viewing it in VLC PLAYERfor optimal viewing experience.
Will edit this post when it's done.

First of all, big thanks, adamryan, you rule. I was trying to get the Vimeo video on this page: http://www.in-public.com/news/2011/3/1981. It is an entire documentary film.
I want to give back, specially to nooobs:
- The tutorial is in page 27, not 34, not 5 pages before that. It was a little hard to find it, maybe changes according to your browser config, so look for Post# 652.
- The Clipta Extension Bar was NOT compatible with my Firefox version (actually I use Palemoon, which is a lighter FF). Just download the Nightly Tester Tools extension and force add on compatibility (well, at your own risk). It worked nicely.
The video is downloading now, it's 292 MB. The source URL (according to the Download Statusbar)is this:
http://av.vimeo.com/71135/772/43526030.mp4?token=1300888469_8ec116e3a52527ca48975ade9dcf30bc
This time was Clipta but I'll install Real Player and Replay Media Catcher for the future, just in case.
Big thanks again.

Could you somehow maybe download this for me or tell me on how I can do it. Please email me back on sam2326@gmail.com
The link for the site is: http://www.q-dance.nl/q/page/video#/video/id=70923/ii=70923/e=qlimax_-_25112006
Many thanks in advance,

I know this is a really old thread, but is there anyone who could help me download the flash video from the site below (ESP Test)?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/pages/esptest
I was able to locate the container file (OMG.swf), but couldn't find where it points to. Any help you would be appreciated.

Todays Google screen has an interesting guitar-like swf. Can you figure out how to capture it?

I am trying to get the format/method to get the swf(s) from the site. Not trying to get the specific swf from the site (although getting it would be nice anyways), but methods/tools I can use to get the swfs from the site. Repeated myself, but hope that anyone willing to help knows what I'm trying to do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Tried Replay Media Catcher 4, but it could only get the mp3 part. I'm wondering if extraction can't be done because it is a swf within a swf (player)? The "video" is composed of rotating scenery jpgs, an mp3 file, and the "subtitle". I would like to get the subtitle part. When I navigate to page using Internet Explorer, the jpgs, and mp3 is downloaded, but I can't find the subtitle part. Any help is appreciated.
They got something new for videos that you can't download.
http://www.applian.com/replay-video-capture/
Have not used it yet but looks like it just records whatever your playing.
Not sure how fast of a system you need for it either.
Thanks. That worked very well, but I found camstudio will do the same (almost) for free.
