it only took about 6 hours...lol....but i got it...i was reading this tutorial that didnt make any sense... with mtkflash the command that i was putting in didnt work...i used this tut on xbox scene that i accidently found and it worked perfect...If anyone needs help post and ill try my best to answer...thanx everyone who helped me...i really needed it..lol...l8er

Hope I do good so wish me luck, besides my drive is a TOSHIBA/SAMGUNG DRIVE aswell.

I ADVISE THAT YOU REMOVE EVERYTHING FROM THE COMPUTER U ARE USING EXCEPT THE FLOPPY DRIVE AND THE SATA DRIVE..ITS MAKES IT ALOT EASIER
the problem with my computer was that it wouldnt load..it would just keep restarting...so i just wait till i see the command prompt and then i would plug in the sata into the comps master sata slot
Do you have the xtremexp pack?

ok...right now you dont need it....first you need to backup ur original fw so you can take the dvd key out.
to do this first you need to make a bootable floppy through windows...to do this go to my computer then right click on your floppy drive and click format then click ms dos disk...after its done..u need to put the mtkflash files on that floppy. its two files..an exe and a typ
let me know wen u have tht done

I have one problem...my floppy drive has no sata connection but my other PC has sata connection but no froppy.

ok cool...now turn off your comp...u dont NEED to do this but i recommend it...open ur comp and disconnect all of your drives except the floppy and the xbox...ok then turn on your xbox with the video cable plugged in and the sata drive connected to ur comp. when u get to the command prompt type this exactly
a:>mtkflash r backup.bin
then it should ask u for which drive and you choose the master sata..where ur xbox is plugged in...let it do its thing and it will ask u to restart ur comp...turn off ur xbox and comp and reconnect all the drives...
let me know wen u did all that

can you unplug the floppy from one computer and put it on the other? or put both comps side to side and just plug in the floppy to the computer that has the sata

make sure your floppy is first priority on the bott system..(acess by pressing Delete key when starting up)
just a note
also make sure your sata isnt on raid

you can boot from a cd but i dont understand how it is going to write the backup fw to the cd? with the floppy it writes the fw directly to the floppy....

ok i read also that someone used a thumbdrive but i dont know how you would command it in the command prompt becasue the floppy doesnt have usb drivers..ur safest bet would be the floppy becasue i kno that 100% works
