Patch the DNAS after you rebuild.

How about the rebuilding process would I have to do that and how would go about doing that or is it easier to patch and then patch the dnas. Thanks

Check the thread on rebuilding to learn how to rebuild your file. After you rebuild it, you will have a smaller .iso file. Patch the smaller .iso file with WinDip 1.7 and the DNAS for FNR3 found on the official DNAS thread.

You would've still needed to patch the DNAS in order for you to go online with a backup of Fight Night Round 3.If you didn't patch the DNAS when you made your backup, you won't be able to play online at all.

Ok I ran into a couple of problems. I went thur both tuts on patching and rebuilding games and these are the problems.
1.whenthe tutorials said about the iml file I did not get the error and the tut said I needed some file how do I get it and how do I use it.
2 burning the iso on Nero was able to burn under image burn and was at 1xspeed I couldn't change the settings to burn at 4xspeed, plus it also said the book to to set to atomatic I have Nero 6.0 and didnlt have that setting will I need to update or what can I do to burn at proper speed
3. Burn it but would stop at loading screen so don't know what's up with that it was burnt on sony DVD+R should I try DVD-R orwhat media is best to get this going with out having to order online and just go to your local store and buy.

And last a question is there a automatic program tojust make iml to iso or make all the data files to iso and just burn after that? Any suggestion orcomments are appreciated

There's a sticky that has links to all programs. What you need to turn the iml file into an iso file is called IML2ISO v4. The sticky thread is here. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/290701
When you rebuild an image with CDVD Gen, you export the .iml file and rebuild it to an .iso with the IML2ISO program.

Don't use Nero to burn ps2 games. It's alot easier and more reliable to burn DVD games with DVD Decrypter and CD games with Alcohol 120. DVD Decrypter is available at the same thread I posted above. Alcohol 120 can be obtained here. http://www.free-downloads.net/programs/Alcohol_120_
Also to remember, burn your games at half the rated speed of the Sony DVD+R's you're using. (i.e. 8x burn at 4x)

Sony DVD+R's are good. I use them myself. I have a burner that lets me booktype DVD+R to DVD-ROM so I can use them flawlessly in my slimline ps2. I say stay with the Sony +R unless you have a FAT PS2, then I say get the Sony DVD-R's. You can go to your local retailer to get these.

I hope this solves all your issues with FNR3. But please, remember to use the Stickys and the search forums button before posting any other topics. All it takes is a little bit of time, but most all questions have been answered in painful detail.

Yeah I did use the stick thead and got all the software.I also did make the iso with cdgen but I what caused confustion was the whole iml file thing on said thnak you would get two error and didn't get any also mentioned that you woould need a certain file some dll or what ever so I tried it the video tut and that work so Ill try to burn it in DVD-R and using a differnt image burner.
Another thing do do I go about the dnas coding do I do it after making iso or what.
By the way great answers on the question and I do have the fat ps2 v7

What you're talking about is when you hit "record" on CDVDGen. You should have 2 errors. Forget about that. Before you hit "record" click file, export .iml. You don't even need to hit the "record" button.
And yes, patch the .iso after you finish rebuilding it with the proper DNAS.

Shouldn't really matter. V.4 PS2's and later read DVD+R and DVD-R equally well. DVD-R's are cheaper online.

Most likely. But they're probably 16x. Most Verb's you'll find in stores are 16x nowadays. You'll never really get fakes from reputable websites or chain stores. If you can find 8x Sony DVD+R's with an octogonal spacer (piece of styrofoam) and say Made in Japan on the label, those'll be Taiyo Yudens. Or if you can find 8x Verb's anywhere, those will work fine too. Keeping your firmware up to date helps improve media compatiblity and burn performance.

92. Q. What is firmware and why should I care?
A. Firmware as defined by AD:
Sort of a "operating system of the hardware", an embedded instruction set built-in or flashed into a hardware equipment, such as a router, CDR drive, DVD-ROM drive, washing machine, etc.
Newer Firmware can unlock new features that are sealed on certain DVD Burners like booktyping, or simply enhance your existing Burner by improving burn quality and media compatibility. Keeping your Firmware up to date is essential to ensure quality burns and maximum functionality from your DVD Burner. When flashing your burner with new Firmware, be very careful. Make sure you shut down all programs running in the background, the DVD-ROM drive is empty, and you follow all the directions included in the Firmware download exactly. A bad flash can fry your DVD Burner. Proceed with caution. You can find all the Firmware you'll ever need here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php

I got some verbs 8x DVD+R at best buy and the sony dvd+r's that I had were made in taiwan so don't if that's the prob, but I'll try the verb and if that doesn't work that I'll try the firmwire and also have a question about that you said to shutdown everything in background does that include exporer.exe . Thank have been tons of help.

No. You definitely don't want to shut down explorer, that's like the file manager for windows, leave it alone. I mean stuff like internet, IM, any software you may be running. Close all non essential stuff while burning. 8x Verb DVD+R's are excellent, should work fine. If you have questions on how to burn with Nero, Alcohol 120%, ImgBurn, or DVD Decrypter, check the tutorial links in my sig. They also explain booktyping, which is important since you're using DVD+R's.
