i've downloaded this but it freezes when i get to open the dvd and then putting it in a file any advice?

I have downloaded this program and it keeps freezing up. I have tried numerous times and many frustrating hours. It will say it is 100% completed but won't complete the process and the estimated time counter keeps going into the negative numbers. Any advice or help?
