Hi, plenty of great suggestions and answers here so I'm hoping someone will be able to answer this one for me cuz I'm STUMPED!
I have an old classic war movie on DVD...John Wayne in the "Green Berets"...now here is the stumper:
When I play the DVD on my DVD player at home hooked into my TV, the ENTIRE movie plays from start to finish on the side I insert however...if I try to put it in my DVD tray in my PC and copy it from my computer with either my Slysoft DVD Mobile, Cucosoft or Yasa DVD ripper programs all I get is what's on the one side of the DVD!!! No matter what program I try using I get the same result! Both sides of the disc reveal one side/half (first half of the movie on one side and second half on the other side of the disc.
To get the whole movie as one file, I'd have to copy both sides of the disc! Obviously I'd have to learn how to join the two files togther to get one file for the entire movie.
How can this be when I can watch the whole movie without turning the disc over in a home DVD player but if I want to copy the movie from my PC I'd have to copy both sides to get the entire movie?
I even tried to get another copy from BlockBuster but their copy was just like mine. One side says "A" and side "B" says "Additional Features?" Blockbusters copy also plays all the way through without turning the disc over and NO my DVD player does not play both sides without removing the disc and flipping it over.
Any ideas? I'm lost here and need some experienced inputs/solutions...I've never seen or experienced anyhting like this.
Thanks in advance...
