Quote: xhardc0re.....no hard feelings taken at all....but from all my years of gaming.....FFX is the most visually impressive and best in everything overall I have ever seen. This game is so good...it's still impressive to this day and is still the best ps2 rpg game PERIOD!!!
Thats more like it... at least ur not insulting anyone anymore. And yes, it probably is the best PS2 RPG game, and PROBABLY has the best storyline from any FF so far.

Hmmm...I do agree that FFX is a very good game and to me it is #2 on the list of all the Final Fantasies I own (all but FFXI and FFVIII). But I'm one of the many fans of FFVII. I mean come on they made a movie of it for crying out loud.
The biggest thing I dislike about FFX is that you don't have any gauge on how powerful you are except at looking at the stats and knowing what are good stats. There are no levels just sphere levels and even with these you can use spheres to skip ahead to the major spells (Which I used to obtain Holy to defeat that boss in Zanarkand Yunalesca or something like that). I did like how the aeons were used in this and the graphics were astonishing compared to other final fantasies before it at it's release. If FFVII were released with the same graphics as FFX I think it would be much easier to see that FFVII is a better game.

@DJAshV: pls don't take me seriously, i was being a clown. from my days growing up in Britain, we learned from the BBC that a little self-humiliation was good every so often. Prince Charles does it daily i heard.....
back to FFXIII, i'm impressed that Square is talking action for their PS3 games. Every time there is another interview, they stress that FF Crystallis project will be a huge break from the old RPGs we know. Here's a nice video to get an idea what i'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-8lVn4VWyc <--NOW WHAT do you think about Final Fantasy??? That's ****ing tight!!

Anyone know if the recently released USA version of Dirge Of Cerberus works with HDAdvance? I hear a lot of people had problems playing the JAP version on HDA/HDL, so im guessing this is the same.

Just a confirmation, Dirge Of Cerberus USA DOES work with HDLoader/Advance. I think it was the online option with the JAP version which messed it up a little. So yeah... I've played through the first stage, not too impressed as of yet, hoping it gets better a little later. From what ive read though, it becomes even more bland as the game goes on... Bloody SE.

Square is the new capcom, they switched from great well deved games whitch can find large niches (FF8 and such) to milking anygame they have IP over, look at KH *L* altho much like capcom once in a while they make a hit..like KH *L*
I'll put more trust into the Eqnix side of thigns for awhile *L*

I actually think Capcom still make a lot of pretty good games... especially the ones that have a lot of hype surrounding them. Thats just my opinion though.

DMC2 wasnt that good... but DMC3 more than made up for that. As for the Megaman games, there isnt really much hype surrouding them, no one really expects them to be good. They really are milking it though. Capcom's Breath Of Fire series is quite notable too, and with new games like Okami and God Hand just around the corner, it seems like they're doing more good than bad.

Onimusha is good to altho a bit wishy washy I hope they elarned from 4 that haveign the japanase track in it is a must..god oni3 VAing is bad ><
Megaman is dead to me ><..least on the consoles least untill ML3....
ot they figure out that MMX should go full 3rd person with level design a bit better than MML and alot better palycontroll....
I oved BOF 1,2 and 4 hated 3 ,5 is WTF....mabye 6 will be good.....
is Okami like onimusha but more action based with large levels to run amuk in?

Completely forgot about Onimusha. Don't care much for Megaman, games or otherwise. The Breath of Fire games are pretty good. Okami is completely different to what you described. Take a look at this if u wanna know more: http://uk.ps2.ign.com/objects/678/678618.html

BOF5 is not "good" >>
AH ok Okami is new theres some odd japaanse midevil action game like onimaucha but is mroe action based and has large levels with colaspeing buildings...wanted to try them but I keep forgeting theres 3 now I think *L*

I played the jap version of okami a while ago....and let me say....it only appeals to "art" majors. The graphics are amazing in that game...but the gameplay is quite "generic" and simple. The PS2 and xbox has pretty much come to their last breaths. Time to move on!!!
Oh...and by the way....The only reason why people like FF7 so religiously and why they consider it the best FF game of all time is because the retarded character Aeris dies....But she doesn't derserve my sympathy because she was trying to play "Mr.HERO".
Who told the stupid b*tch to walk into that huge forest alone? She got exactly what she deserves. I like cloud's and spirhot's background story along with fighting the two special weapons and the materia combo system. In my opinion.....the best thing about FF7 is cloud's background story. I just thought Aeris was being really stupid by getting herself killed!!! PLEASE!!!! Square just wanted to create some real "drama" by having her killed...but I tought that was lame!!!

and soem thin coulds backgound is lame is moaning about spehy burning the vilage and all,I mena he killed him once after all 0-o
*L*
as far as story goes I realy dont see much of a diffrance in FF7 and FF1o altho the main story plot twist is a nice touch and probly the high point of the game.
Seymour is the most pointless main villain yet even Kuja was better...altho non are better than kefka :P

Need an FFXII US Patch cos i play games on my hard drive. This might sound stupid but wouldnt the JAP one work too? Since all the files are probably the same, in theory it SHOULD work right?
