isnt it obvious, people were seeing thier initials up there and freaking out if they hadnt got a confirmation in a day or to( I know because i was one of these people). This way there is more of a chance that it is not you, and then they dont have to hear from people complaining about their initials, city and state showed up and there for they won. Even if it was someone else.

well, they should have done the original rules. Originally, it stated that they would post the first initial and the whole last name, along with city/state. They never did this though, only posting the initials of both first and last name, with city/state.
It took two days for mine to be posted. I would have been much more settled if they had posted my first inital and whole last name like they initially had planned, so I would have pretty much known for sure.
I wonder why they just didn't put the yahoo i.d. and then you would know for sure?

It could also do with people concacting the winners. They dont want people harassing the winners. Just a thought.

I'm collecting caps. I should have entered when their were only about 1000 entering. Now with around 2000 every 10 minutes it makes things really hard. Just wondering for those who have won how many did you enter on that 10 minutes and how many entries were there overall. If you wish to help me out by donating (which I doubt anyone will) then send me a Personal Message.

I just called Sam Goody and remembered that I had fulled paid for my xbox 360 back in July. HAHAHA...I got so caught up in all this cap collecting that I forgot about fully paying for it. So in a weird way I somewhat won. Not really, but you get the point. I guess I put down $530, becuase they said I was going to be getting the premium system, two games OF MY CHOICE, and two wireless controllers+some other stuff(not sure what). Plus with all the reward points I got for signing up and getting triple points...I got enough cash back to get a free game!! This is sweet!!!!!!!!
Take er easy and if she's easy take her twice.
Just let her know your there and you care.
And my favorite stupid question ever...

Oh I know I have been hooked. I also just started a small business, and its keeping me so busy. I'm 17, so my senior year is full of work. Fixing stupid people's computer is the greatest job...I just got 40 bucks for calling in an ordering someone a new monitor cause there's died. I have just been so busy, and going here and there...getting caps, its almost been to much. It was kinda like I knew I had fully paid, but it wasn't registering that I didn't even have to worry about it. Plus I didn't know what was coming with it. I just thought that the system was 500, and tax was 30. I'm getting a crap load more though! WOO WOO...

It's a party in a box! Gosh what else would it be...
Um I'm not sure what all comes in it, but I think some food stuff, and free t-shirts. Just promotional stuff...nothing to great, but if you win the xbox, something somewhat cool to look forward to.

Over three million bucks for all those xbox's
by the end of the deal I'd say there will be 1000 caps on average from all the drawings. On average someone had to pay 1 buck for the cap. So on average mt dew is somewhat getting 1000 bucks every ten minutes. Not exactly, but you get the point of the story. Thats 6000 every hour, and 144000 every day. It started augest 28th I think and end's oct. 31. So thats 64 days. 8,640,000. I don't think that the party box is going to cost 5,640,000. I know for sure that yahoo got a little piece of total profit for hosting the thing. And I would guess that mircrosoft and pepsi split all total profit. My guess, but I could be wrong. I didn't my work with the computer calculator, so if I'm wrong on something correct me.

-----------10-min--hour----day-----week------9-weeks
Pepsi------$650----$3,900--$93,600-$655,200--$5,896,800
Prize------$580----$3,480--$83,520-$584,640--$5,261,760
Difference-$ 75----$0,470--$10,080-$070,560--$0,635,040
Rough guess that pepsi actually only pulling down $.65 per bottle and that there is around 1000 enteries that are actually bottle caps. Maybe could take it to about $.75 per point but that might be pushing it.
The $580 is retail cost and there is no way pepsi is paying full price here.

well, I am sure that pepsi products, especially mountain dew, have gone up in sales. That is the whole point of advertising and this is just that, a form of advertisement.
Think of all the money they are spending not just on the Xbox 360's and the other small prizes included in the box, but on the advertisement for the contest itself.
But the whole strategy is to get as many people with an xbox 360 as possible, so that friends will then want one and so that a much greater percent of the gamer market will already have it by the time the PS3 comes out.
