That's some heavy compression - could be the reason for grainy.
What dvd is this?
let's check your firmware too - just to see if it's current. In Nero ToolKit>Info Tool>drive tab there's a field for the firmware version #. Which version do you have?

Hmmm on the firmware the latest version is BCHC - sounds like in Nero you have the old drive picked. Just pick the BenQ in the scroll bar (up top).
Wow I didn't remember Daddy Day Care being that big! So 2 suggestions (from locoeng) try movie only - requires little if any compression on this one. Or when you click back up click on the quality settings tab and check 'deep analysis'. This will do it in 2 passes (takes longer) but should improve the quality some.

In Nero ToolKit - check the drive and firmware here:
Now for the 'deep analysis' that is done in Shrink - from this pic you can see the tab - also make sure the right drive is picked here too (sounds like it is though)
editted to add: from 2nd pic 'deep analysis' in under quality settings.

If that's just in Nero ToolKit probably no big deal. The old drive is probably still set to master which in my experince Nero defaults to here. My quess is you replaced the samsung w/ the BenQ which was set as slave.

Hey there again. Sorry I havent been around in awhile , been really busy as of late... But anyways, I got my Ben q drive but when i burn a dvd im getting errors and failed burns now ?? I use Nero.. Do you need to see anything in order to figure out whats wrong ?? Thanks..

Ok celibate ewido should have no affect on the burning - if it did I'd be in trouble too :)
Most of the logs show that the dvd's are not fully recognized by the drive only that they are Media type: DVD+R
Are you still using Verbatim?
There is also a firmware update for the BenQ as of 7/27/06 - BCHC. Update to that one:

I would keep a bit more memory free. Most of your logs show high 70's in use.
Physical memory : 511MB
Free physical memory: 120MB
Memory in use : 76
So shut down any unneccesary programs.
Burn speed is set at max (16x) slow it down to 8x.
Try that and let us know how it goes!

Ok I did exactly what you said and im still getting an error message ?? Ive burned at 16 for the last 10 to 15 dvds and no problems .. anyway this is what it shows for my latest burn..

Ok are your still using Verb's? Even after the firmware update the drive is not fully recognizing the discs you're using.
Take it down to 8x and let's see how that goes. Your burn is failing at the end of the burn.

bummer.. the only other burn speed avaliable is 1x and 2x .. Yeah im still using the same media .. I just dont get why all of a sudden it wont burn correctly ?? Ill try it at 2 .. Thanks

Read the disc from the Artec drive and have the blank in the BenQ - then you'll get the different burn options.
Right now it looks like you're reading and writing from the same drive.
Or if the Artec is still a problem - do 2 steps - save to a hard disc folder than use burning rom or express in Nero to burn (have a blank in the drive 1st).

My guess from the logs is that since the disc isn't fully recognize the generic write pattern may not always work. Or you could have gotten a few bad ones in the spindle.
Even the best brands have some off days:)
Try reading from one drive and burn to the BenQ at 8x speed next time. 2x speed is way too slow :)
Let see how that goes with this spindle of discs.
