The point system is an add-on, it wouldn't negatively affect you in any way. If you can't upload (no leechers), then you can seed properly and gain the size of the torrent back. It does nothing but help users.
No, dont think so. I always seed my ass off. Now, if someones not actually downloading what you are sharing, you get screwed. Does nothing but help users? Think again. I always seeded and get my ratio really high, and now I its a struggle just to get my access back to download anything, when I seen 24/7. I left over 40 torrents a few weeks ago that were seeding overnight. When I woke up, I STILL didnt have access to download new ones.

See, I knew that you didn't understand the SP system. Really, I'll be a nice guy and mention that you only get SP when seeding 5 torrents and the two lowest ratios get the points. If you seed >5, SP is disabled until you lower it. This is to PREVENT the abuse before where people would seed 70-80 torrents for SP and be safe.
Why don't you just slow down and beat the games you are actually downloading? The way I download (2 torrents at a time, seed until they are 1:1 but I like to get them higher too) I still have a lot in the back burner of games to beat. And also, you're connection is probably not good enough to support 40 torrents. It's not going to help pumping 1-2KB/s per torrent, now is it?
It's always funny when someone complains about seeding and we find out that they are seeding 10-20 torrents (in your case 40) and wondering why they aren't getting SP.
RULES ARE MADE FOR A REASON, SO IS THE FAQ. It must seriously be some new fad to not read the rules these days. 8D~

I am simply ignoring all this hacking nonsense in the thread. I simply would like to know if BC is actually up now. I have tried to load the site from 2 different computers. One at home and one at work. Neither have loaded the site.
Hackers who hack websites and personal computers are pathetic attention whores who have nothing better to do with their time but cause grief to compensate for their own personal short comings. Just my $0.02

I was a member in good standing. Always good ratio. i would complete one torrent at a time. Then this stuff happened and now my account doesn't exist. I've been trying to sign up for a new account but that has not been working obviously. Is there anything i can do. I'm not aware of any method to plead my case with anyone who runs black-cats.

hey mik3h.i`ve been trying to get on blackcats the last several days with no luck.is the site down.i wouldn`t think i`ve been banned.been on it almost 2 years,with a good ratio and a super power user.i `can`t seem to connect on their IRC channel.my screen name is vic112299 could you or anyone that could help me out reply back.thanks alot.

miker1, even with the email there is still no result on the database, your best bet is probably to get in the channel yourself and ask.

Hey does anyone know if the site is down again or am I just being blocked? Its been atleast a week or so since i've checked the page but it seems kinda funny reading about all the people who got banned. If any admin of blackcats is reading this my account name was garboinc. Can't see why I would have been banned .... sp user with atleast a 3.0 ratio. ><

Nope, the invite system was disabled, the only way to sing [sic] up is to catch it when there are open memberships. It took me a good week of checking as often as I was able... There used to be announcements to members about open accounts, I'll have to read the rules regarding that, but maybe someone can post if there is one.

I seem to recall when I was trying to sign up wanting to be home before 6pm CST because something on the sign-up page said that was when the delinquent accounts were euthanized. I'm not sure if this is the case anymore or even if the general public is privy to this kind of information, I can't find it now. It's worth a shot.
