Starview losing channels

hiya people. i have a constant problem with my starview orignal and its been going on since late may... i have uptodate software on the starview.. (4.00e_E) Boot ver: 7.0, with the updated cryptstar softwarew.... i keep losing skysports1,2,3... sky movies... in the daytime but they come back very late atnight maybe midnight or later but cum back back glitchy and freezin. ive rebooted, re-flashed, factiory resest and evrythin else possible i cud try i have done... i'm on v**ginme**a ( old n*l) in the uk( le1cester...midlands region) i notced a while back that its all frequnceies with 731 000-755 000 that are doing this. i also noticed that when the weather is warm or hot like its been recently it dosent come on at all but wen the weather is cool or cold those channels work ok... ive got 2 boxes at 2 different points and both do the same.. checked wiring and outside cabling seems ok..all other channels r fine....i have no other ideas... can u guys think of sumthing...ive mentioned this problem in an other thread b4

hello i also forgot to mention.. when i go on to the channel it says no signal!.... ive tryd deletion and rescann...no joy there either.

moving you connection up or down in outside box may help if someone can do it for you

thanks for the idea... ive put the orignial v****nmedia boxes back in and gettin them to come out 2moz..ive blagged about the basic channels glitching and freezin.. hopefully they will sort the weak signal out.. ive hidden the st*****w's for now. once they r done and gone i'll put them back in n see how it works... will keep u guys updated

this fixed it for me. i had only 40 odd channels for weeks. then today my box froze and kept switching on and off! now all is good
well done ye legend.

hello people. quick update from my earlier post... i had v****nmedia come down to see if they cud fix the on going problem.... it was a weak signal so they did there thing and fixed it. once they were done and gone i gave it an hour be fore i switched to my st****ew boxes and the signals were all fine... all my channels back to norm with no glitching and freezin...yay

nice one wildman ive had a few like that were only solution was moving connection outside good reference for other people with similar problems

hello all
if i'm in the wrong thread here just chase me. I've had a quick look for a question relating to this but haven't seen one. i've got a st*rview box with t*l*w*st. i had lost my channels so i updated the firmware (version june 2007). It had been working ok for about 3-4 weeks but there gone again. i've tried autoscan and it say's it has found 210 channels but they ain't there. when i go to nagravision i don't see the normal listing i usually get. thre's no t*l*w*st just things like omne - polsat - chorus etc. anyone have any idea where i screwed up? i'm in scotland.

Presume its a Starview 1.Which version of Cryptstar did you update with? BTW to get TW back, press menu, type 1570 on remote and press default key.

It turned out to be the OK button on the remote was sticking, incompatibility between remote control, childs fingers and STRAWBERRY JAM

Hi All
I have lost setan golf and setan 2. Cant find them on a rescan, tried a factory reset and no help. All other channels are perfect. Provider is EXc*w in manchester. Any ideas?

not been on for a while gave up trying to flash my starview box computer not up to it but neighbour provides codes for me off the hamburger site. My problem is one of the kids has played with it and all my channels are locked apart from bbc1 etc how do i get them unblocked? tried some of above and nothing helps situation.

Hi guys. I have SV2 Box and SV3 Super. Does anyone know of any issues that would result in these two boxes running simultaneously in different rooms, using the same connection?
I've noticed one or two glitches where some channels on the SV2 disappear while the SV3 is switched on, but they then return when SV3 is switched off.
Has anyone else tried this and if so, are these problems normal?

Press Menu > Channel Edit > 0000 or 1668 > Press YELLOW button to EDIT > Highlight the channel you want to UNLOCK > Press the GREEN button > Use your \/ /\ arrows to move it to the next ch@nnel
Repeat till you have them all unlocked
When your finished , press EXIT and it will save them for you
OR
Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete
Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on
English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit
Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON
Exit , exit , exit

This will happen if you are using a splitter and you will need a booster to improve the signal.

i've lost all channels on my st*rv*ew box. i fear the worst. i've tried updating codes/ firmware(API ver 4.00e boot ver 7.0 june 2007), factory defaults but can't seem to pick up any channels. i think the box is goosed.
i'm going to look into getting a eurovox. anyone got any info on these.
