ive tried using the free jodix program and pqdvd and nothing seems to work. Im ready to just pay for one thats going to work, i just wanna make sure its the best before i spend $30-$40 for a program. So far ive heard good things about cucusoft any other suggestions before i waste more money, this is getting very frustrating. thanks!

I suggest you get the free trial version to have a try first before purchase because some iPod converters works for many guys but maybe not suitable for your DVD drive or your DVDs. Just check the guides here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/385738 and free download dvdxsoft, xilisoft or cucusoft.

I just got videora iPod Converter last night and it worked perfectly for me (although I've only done one movie so far), also, it's free!! I'm using them in conjunction with DVD Decrypter or DVD Fab Express to put the DVD on my Hard Drive, Shrink to compress it into one file, and then videora to put it into MP4 form. I was already using the Fab/Shrink combo to backup my collection anyways, so Videora fit in perfectly in the chain, just make sure to get Videora iPod Converter (free), not Videora (not free).
