Hey Silver112 that was uncalled for about the retard thing that was not cool man he just asked a normal question. Just to answer your question kingakt I am not sure because I do not have a ps3 but it does play ps2 games chances are that it just may :)
If you want things done right then sometimes you have to do it yourself :)

Not really it's perfectly logical.
Since the PS3 has a PS2 chip onboard it means that there is pretty much a PS2 inside of it so I would expect it to work just like you would get an action replay for ps1 and be able to play it through the ps2.
No 'retard' question was ever asked, just a smartass answer.

no offence taken, you made a mistake thats cool,
i was more curious about the Other OS option thingy, like for example, GTA:LCS on psp, there was a cheat system for that, i don't remember the name, but u save this programme with your game saves and you can activate diffrent types of cheats.
could this kind of programme, be used in the Linux OS system to kinda work in a similar way.
i know its not a great question, just very interested with the whole Other OS option.

the question is first would it be reconisable / readable? like 360 blocked the first 3 games that got were for modding , then from there "if" its readable it wil not or atlest it should not be compaitable regardless of being a ps2 item..... it sorth of wouldnt make no sense but yea just thougth i'd mentioned

action replay is very reliable, i had it for my ps2, so its very unlikely that it will harm your ps3, but since i haven't tryed it on the ps3 i wouldn't know, so this is only my opinion.

I just recently tested to see if my Action Replay would work on my Ps3. All i got was a pink screen after the Playstation 2 screen. So as far as im concerned, no it doesnt work.............. LOL out of all the games i have, the Action Replay is the only one that doesnt work. XD

I have tried to use the CodeBreaker for the PS2 on the PS3 with no luck. It start to load then locks up.
If anyone has any luck loading any of the other cheat disks let me know. I have 23 hours into FFXII and since I cant figure any way to transfer the game save I have backed up on a USB thumb drive to the PS3 I am looking to cheat to get back to where I was at.

Buy the Sony USB memory card adapter only $14.99 at Best Buy (or any where else):

I have 33 hours on it but I'm going to keep my PS2 since I got a Japanese PS3. On the upside I can play PS/PS2 NTSC-J games like Initial D with no Mod....wait my PS2 is Modded....lol

yep use the memory card adaptor transfer your codebreaker over to your internal memory card and put your codebreaker in but dont start it until atleast 20 seconds pases wait for the ps2 screen to pop up then look at your controler the 1234 lights should start blinking press the ps button as soon as that hapens then press x it works for me but only about 75% of the time
