Yep, that's all I've seen too. Now there are some others on sale at the usual B&M stores, but they're not the really good ones. Hmm...wonder how down and dirty they'll get the weekend before Christmas?

$1.50 each for Verbatim DVD+R DL, Super good price! Even the 7 bucks for 25 DVD5 is not shabby! I'll take Verbs over Sony made in Taiwan anyday.Sony Made in Japan? Good luck. Scarce as Hen's teeth! Of course, if you can find those, buy them! I will. Taiyo Yuden made Rules!

bunnyrip I hear ya!
I finally finished ofF my TDK 4X DVD+R'S / RicohJpns - No complaints so far ! Starting on Some Sony 8x DVD-R's MIJ but Code as Sony not taiyo yuden - Had a Round white spacer ! So far so good though only burned a few ! I like the label surface lot's of writing space & slick& shiny looking but takes a sharpie pretty good . I 'm wondering what the online outfits will put on sale for last minute Xmas deals ? Verbs ?, Taiyo's ?, Maybe Officedepot will Do another Saugmon sale ? Buy one get 2 free ? Prefferably their own branded stuff & not that Ativa Crap (CMC) and yes I know that Ativa is officedepots brand too ! sort of like ToZai is for walgreens ! But in OD's case I think atleast in the case of DVD media it's more of a trial balloon kinda thing - Buy really crappy media put it out under a made up name & see how much comes back & how many complaints they get ? That way it's not really soiling their brand name if it goes sour and they still have their OD Branded media TO MAKE MONEY on ! I have bought OD media before & would buy it again as long as they stick with a decent OEM ( Ritek or Ricohjpn) at the minimum ! If they go CMC like they have with Ativa it's sorry charlie ! BIGTOXY69, I would not buy those Imations if they were $2.49 for 100! They are CMC Mags for sure! I know, a Buddy gave me some and I scanned them. Yuch.

I was'nt really trying to entice anyone into the Imation /Cmc Crap camp ! hence the Eclamtatory ( Phooey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) just information about another sale useless though it maybe ! LOL! sad but True !!! I understood your meaning exactly ! Everything MIJ except Verbatim which isn't MIJ. A number of people around here don't care for Maxell MIJ either. It used to be pretty good, but I haven't purchased any for a couple years or more. I'm strictly Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim.

dipset121-Yes the MIJ maxells are top notch ! If you can find them sometimes at WallyWorld or other retailers !Officedepot often has them mainly in the printables though the printables rarely go on sale ! THe MIJ maxells are made by Hitachi/Maxell ( hitachi is maxells parent company ) so you know what you are getting ! with the regular maxells you may get Riteks or CMC depending on the speed of the media & how long it's been on the shelf! or in the warehouse ! Riteks are not to bad - CMC avoid like the plague ! In made in Taiwan media I would recommend Verbatim they are excellent & some of the best media made period ! Many members prefer to use Verbatim Media or Taiyo yuden media exclusively ! Do to its quality & consitency ! There are a few other taiwan made brands that are High quality though not as highly regarded as Verbatim or taiyo Yudens ! They are Ritek which maybe found under Ritek , Maxell, or Officedepot Brands ! and Ricohjpn which you may find in officedepot media , some Tdk media ? And perhaps other brands as well! But given the right price It's hard to gom wrong with the Dynamic Duo ( Taiyo Yuden & Verbatim) You can buy taiyo yudens online under their own name or as Sony Mij 's (White octagon Spacer on top of spindle) You may even find some MIJ fuji's (also Taiyo yudens ) though theese are somewhat rare now ! if you are buying Taiyo yudens online the DVD+R disc will be more expensive ! Maxell DVD+R 8x Made in Japan are Hitachi Made & are Top Notch Media! Ranking right up there with Taiyo Yuden! I have some, I know. They are Excellent!

They shouldn't add tax online unless they are shipping from the same state. I'd just buy them in store myself, but I stocked up when Office Max had them on sale for basically the same price a few weeks ago.

Thanks alot man I really appreciate that explanation it is really helpful! I was thinkin of going to get the Maxell DVD+R from staples over the weekend because my fuji DVD+R mijs are all gone.

They do because i got charged tax and shipping in my check out
it would cost me $37.08 to my door.
