Hi im buying a PS3 when it comes out in the UK but im also buying a HDTV aswell the main use of the T.V will be for cable T.V but it will also double up as a PS3 monitor. Any advise for me when buying my T.V any1 know a good one i could get? I have £1200 to spend ive seen one its a Samsung lcd 40".

this thraid has already been done, but anyway one of the best HDTV for the ps3 is sony kdl-40v2500 but you would be lucky to find it for your price in the uk(even though its one of the cheapes)

can the ps3 play on any tv or only HD
i heard it only works on these tv

of course it will play on a non-hd tv. you'll just have to use non-hd connections and, of course, don't except hd quality.

ok your in the uk and so am i, the thing is HD tv prices r droping like hell so right now while its near chrismas u can get a really good HD tv for 500 and over. i was window shoping few days a go when i saw a high quality HD tv for sale at £999 it didn't last a second, so i hope the store gets sum soon cuz i wanna get one. look in argos catalogs the prices kill sum times but when its near chrismas they do drop. i also saw a samsung le-32r74bd for £800 while window shoping so if u want a good HD for a good price right now is a good time to go window shoping.

I have a $220 Gateway FPD 1975W - flat panel display - TFT - 19" hook to my PS3 and it works fine, I'm using HDMI to DVI it can even display 1080p.

a bit pricy for me but nice tv i think 46 " is a little tooo big tho

@ navar i am using the tv as a normal tv plus using it for my PS3 i wanted a good tv that would suite both my needs :)
