Are PS3 games quick & easy to beat?

I was wondering I just bought resistance fall of man today. Is the game beatable in a weekend or something if you played a good amount of time? I know call of duty 3 was easy to beat in a week or less for others. But is the size of these ps3's big from the graphics plus game play. Or are they just something u beat and play online?
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present. |

Resistence was pretty long I just past it monday and had been playing it since launch it was on hard level. Call of duty 3 was way to easy and took me about 3 days just pasted it today(also on hard). One that I think is really hard and will be long is UL Dark kingdom I'm on the 3 level and been there for about two days. I know also that there is a clan for resistence and that should be pretty cool also, I'm pretty sure you know where , if not PM me.

Thanks guys for this info. It makes me more confident about opening a $60 game now.

Yup no problem. I thought resistence was a great game with sh+t popping out a you and using the sixaxis was great and don't understand why it got a 9.4 withe the story being great and understandable. My boys loved the whole sixaxis experience and all the wanted was for sh+t to pop out at them so they could use the sixaxis. Another thing I was amazed at was the weapons there where all great execpt for one but were all very usefull, so enjoy the game and let us know what you thought.

Yeah felt like like that pretty much the whole game. My boy (5) would have a chance just to play while I had a cig break and when I would come back he was past where I was stuck I don't know how he did but most of the time he was just messing around.

I thought Resistence was pretty fast to play through. It was the second time I played a First Person Shooter (first time was Goldeneye for the N64) and I got to level 23 (out of 30 total) in a few hours (about 5). I was playing on normal though since it was a rental. I am pretty sure you can beat the single player mode in a rental period.
The game is very good though and makes me want to play some of the fps games I have for the PC and xbox.
The sixaxis was nice. When something grabs you, you shake the controller to break loose. This was implemented nicely. The game was very fun.

yeah, resistance was fun but seemed short to the point i questioned if it was worth the price. i guess i'll just have to learn to enjoy online play more.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

I don't know about it being easy and short in level hard. Now it might be because of the skill level you guys(anubis66 and tammi's son) have but I thought it was hard, but if it is beaten in hard level try it in super human level. I now I can beat in in 3 days if it was in any other level besides hard or superhuman, but again maybe I'm not that skillfull than all you other guys.

there is a superhuman level? i beat it on medium, and i'm starting hard. its not hard at all. maybe superhuman will be.

Its not going to be hard anymore knowing what is going to happen now or knowing what to do now, but yeah there's a super human level and you also unlock new weapons also. I haven't played it today or since monday so I don't know how hard it gets with super human and what new weapons you get also, but enjoy.
