I tried searching the forums, so if this has been answered please forgive me!
I just recieved my iPod, and I am trying to put a dvd movie on it. I am using the AnyDVD + CloneDVD Mobile in order to do so. The movie turns up fine in itunes as a mp4 file. It plays there perfectly. I am able to download it onto my iPod no problem. It's even in the list on my iPod. But when I click on it to play it the screen turns black with only the white "play" arrow in the top lefthand of the screen and the battery in white on the right. I never get any video, or any sound - infact the whole thing freezes, and I end up having to "reboot" it.
I don't know what to do now. I have tried using different resolutions and other options on the clondedvd mobile program, I have deleted the original file and redone the whole process, and nothing helps. I am completely in over my head here and any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'm all up to date (1.2.1 is what it says the software version is) and I've been through that guide as well. I forgot to add that a converted movie file off of my digital camera plays without a problem at all on my ipod as well as itunes, unlike the dvd ones. I guess I'm going to have to try a different program and see if that does anything different, but this is really odd. The file is there and works in itunes, but my iPod itself freezes up and won't play it.
(I'll also keep sifting through the thread responses on the guide, but so far no luck with anything like my problem. Thank you though, for trying to help me!)
OK, I have tried a whole seperate program for the DVD to iPod, and I still get the same issue:
The dvd file works fine after conversion. It's in itunes and plays fine. It transfers to my iPod just fine. I cannot play it however. It is in my list, and I select it, and all that I get is a black screen with the white icon for play and the battery at the top - that's it.
I've tried reloading and everything, I don't understand what is wrong. I have everything up to date on the software, etc.
