Im just relieved the tutorial mentions having to have actually upgraded to 2.5/2.6. I just sold my original 2.5 PSP on Ebay for £100 and then bought a brand new 1.5 Japanese PSP for £200. If the downgrade had shown up days after I spent £100 on a 1.5 I would have been pissed. Loving the 1.5 though!!!

Guys,
Can anyone confirm if this works on a UK/EU PSP? Am in Ireland.
It was purchased with 2.5 and upgraded to 2.6.
I have downloaded the 1.5 EBOOT file but it is listed as the North American version. Does this make any difference?
Any info would be appreciated!
Cheers

Successfully downgraded factory 2.5 to 1.5. Successfully backed up copies of most of the games i own. It took about 2hrs trial and error. If you keep at it you'll get it. Its the small things that counts such as mistakes in tutorials spelling. If you are trying to downgrade your factory 2.5 or 2.6 make sure you label the downdater folder "2.5" or "2.6" in the PSP/GAME directory. I think that's what finally worked for me.

I have just downgraded from 2.5 to 1.5 using 'Easy 2.50/2.60 Downgrader'
http://www.psp-hacks.com/2006/07/04/easy-250260-downgrader-released/
Easy 2.50/2.60 Downgrader includes EVERYTHING you need.
All you need to do, is find out if your PSP is compatible. The prog holds your hand EVERY step of the way, it's scary as fook, but you can't go wrong. If you don't know what to do next, just click next on the prog, and you will know where you are :)
I had a UK factory 2.5 with no markings on the mobo.
Those posts at the bottom are by me 'Spanky' (that name was taken here :( )
Bring on the home brew *cough*ISO's*cough :p
hope this helps :)

I've read through all the posts i just wanna know a few things.
IS the 2.6 not working for TA-082 boards?
IS this a temporary problem which people are trying to correct?
and finally
IF anyone is working on a solution when might be the release date?
Thank you ALL for your patience.really appriciate it.

S3a, thanks for the guide. I read the whole thread. I know MOBO with TA-082 or IC9001 will brck the PSP if try to downgrade. I also read from another forum that people with IC1003 are not bricking their PSP too. Do you know about IC1003 PSP? I have a factory 2.6 with MOBO IC1003 and was about to do the downgrade until I read about people are not able to downgrade with IC1003.

So do you see that number on the right-hand corner of the motherboard when you open the UMD Drive?
If so, it is a TA-082 motherboard. Do not downgrade it will brick.

Probably. Just check if it has the TA-082 motherboard. If it doesn't then you can downgrade
To find out your motherboard version check this:
