I seen a video on youtube of some guy with a psp that had customized xmb icon, does anyone know how to do that to their psp?

i have custom icons, i might be able to help.
go into recovery mode. select advanced, then toggle USB flash0. now u need to download ur icons. they will normally come in a package with volume bare, font, and even xmb waves. there should be a readme, which will explain how to install.
(+[__]%) put this psp in ur siggy. just do it.

And real specific instructions on how to install them because i just pre-bricked my psp and went back down to 1.5 and now i am back to 3.40 oe-a? so pleaz help dude.

thats a pretty good site to download from.
when u open the flash0 as i stated before, there will be 6 folders. open the folder called vsh. in there, there will be 4 folders. open the resource folder. then, drag the unzipped files (use WinRAR to extract them) and overwrite the files already there. EXCEPT for the fole called ITN0 or something close to that. this is ur font file, if there is a custom font included. go back to the first screen again, go inside vsh again, but then go inside the font folder. put the font there.
if u dont understand this, read the readme included for more detailed instructions.
ALSO run the topmenu_plugin.rco through an icon converter (like the one on the page provided) ONLY if u are using 3.40 oe or 3.30 oe. if ur on 3.03 oe, u r fine.

Hey i did everything that you said to do and now when i exited the recovery the screen stays black and does nothing. Then after about 8 seconds it shuts off, and it does the same thing when i turn it back on. What do i have to do????

Nevermind i went to recovery and went back down to 1.50 and then back up to 3.40 oea. I did this reapeativly for about 5 times in a row. And now everything works. I am not going to change my xmb icons until some makes a program that does the whole process for you. But now when i try to play Tony Hawks Project 8 ISO/CSO it tells me "The game could not be started.(80010002)" What does this mean, I've tried this same game about 4 times now. And for some reason when i go to the recovery now and go back out it seys "internal error" and makes me restore system settings to default.

most icons are made for 3.03 oe-c, and will therefore not work in 3.30 oe or 3.40 oe. there is an icon converter that will "convert" so to speak so the icons will in fact work. if u dont run them thru the converter, u will get a semi brick.

No, on a website it seys to convert them to 3.40 oe, because they are 3.03 oe. Man I have tried to change my xmb for months and i still cant seem to do it.

psp1515, pm me the custom xmb u want and ill convert the topmenu_plugin.rco for u. all u have to do is run flash agent to free up space.
