hi ive found alot of PSX games on torrent sites. i just wondered if i downloaded these, would i be able to transfer them to my PS3 and play them?

if you burned them to a disk in a way that the ps3 thought it was legit (use google to see if this is possible)

I think it is possible like faqman98 said,but you need to trick the system in order to play them.I used the gameshark lite for ps1 on my ps2 in order to boot them up.I would give that a try and see if that works in the system,because if it does you can probably use the switch method or some other way to trick the system and boot them up.Another thing you can probably use is Breaker Pro,and that works for PS1 games also.

Am I crazy or is this in the wrong place...
#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe

The reference is that it is possible to put PSX games on PSP. So therefore PSX is both compatable with the PS3 and PSP.

The reference is that PSX games work on PSP. So therefore PSX games are both compatable with both the PS3 and PSP. But i dont know why you are complaining. is it becuase you are a senior member that you think you can tell people where to post? its not as though you are a mod or admin. is it?

whats the point of replying? you could of at least tried to answer my question. besides, is it a major crime to post something in the "wrong area"? i dont think i have posted in the wrong area, becuase PSX games are compatable with PSPs.

I could put a ps3 on my head and call it a hat if i wanted to... but i doubt i'd get much help asking questions about what size hatbox i should use on a hatmaker's forum...
This belongs in the ps3 section (since you are asking about your PS3)

I was actually wondering if this was possible also. Just to clarify to all the people who dont think this belongs here what he wants to do is use a PSP version of a PS1 game that he either created or downloaded, and transfer it from his PSP/PC to his PS3. So I suppose this could be more for the PS3 section but it is still largely PSP related.
Im gunna have a bit of a research on it, I believe the PSP downloadable games (legit) had to be changed by Sony originally to to work with both PS3 and PSP which I think either had something to do with security type things that the PS3 didnt understand or it was an issue with game saving. Cant remember.

u double posted more than once better hope the mod dont see this thread but i am curious as well has anyone with a hacked psp tried this because it would be great to have ff7 on my hdd a while back i saw a thread that a game almost booted off of an unmodded psp but got a message that the psp is not activated and u activate it through the ps3 so maybe a lil work in the psp forum might help us out and with the release of the 80 gb using emulation instead of the emotion engine would it be possible to maybe boot a backup i think were getting closer to an exploit
