ok...i have swap magic and a flash drive and some game saves. it says on the box thing that came with sm it can load programs from a flash drive.....how do i get my game saves i dled onto my memory card?

IM so lost by all of that....what do i do with the uLaunchELF? do i add it into the cdgen along with the dummy file and the system.cnf? and like, what is my "ELF" file??

Ok to make it easier for you , download uLaunch 4.12 from my folder(click my name to the left). It will burn to a DVD and you launch it with your Swap Magic DVD.
So you take your game saves you have or from gamefaqs.com and follow steps 1-9..
Its not real hard at all. See how it goes and post back or on that thread if you have an issue.

I am thinking they are different yes. I usually keep the game save the same as the game you have, because the SLUS,SLES files are the same then.

Maybe the GTA Trilogy San Andreas is the same as the GTA SA.
just try it and see then is all I can suggest.

If its the uLaunch 4.12 (11mb) uLaunch4.12.7z.001 from my folder, then you just need to extract it. It will then be an ISO file, ready to burn to a DVD, using say imgburn. That is what I use.

nope...didnt work....the save version i got was for JUST gta:sa. my game is the one that came in the trilogy, and i can't find that game save anywhere. not to mention im having problems with the suffering ties that bind...its in pal but i cant convert it cuz its a mds and a mdf file

Ok at least thats confirmed as I thought you need the game save to be the same as the game you are playing.
As for the Suffering Ties that Bind, are you meaning the game itself is in mds and mdf file, or the game save is in that format.
Do you want to convert it to ISO, just use daemon tools(free) to mount the mdf file, then open imgburn(free), and read the drive its mounted on to save as an ISO. Then you can apply the patch to NTSC or whatever it is you actually want to do.

I Cant find anywhere a game save for the trilogy :(
ok....the suffering ties that bind, the game itself came in two files, one mdf one mds. id like to convert it to an ISO...daemon tools? where can i get that? can u give me a walkthrough or w/e to change it to an iso...ive never had to do that...

Update from gamespot:
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas in the trilogy pack is the same version as:
GRAND THEFT AUTO: SAN ANDREAS - SPECIAL EDITION
I uploaded one of the SE saves to my memory card and it worked.
Vice City is the only one that is different.
Now for you other problem, you can get Daemon Tools here:

Install it and you will see a little icon down in your lower left taskbar, it should be a red icon. Mouse over it and it will tell you its Daemon tools.
Right click it, choose Virtual CD/DVD-ROM, DEVICE 0 [F] NO MEDIA,moount images, then locate your mdf file and load it.
The drive letter for you may differ than the [F] drive.
The download imgburn from here:
http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download and install it.
Now run imgburn and click Mode at the top, and click read.
Just below that it says source, choose the drive that we mounted the mdf file on, Now click the disc icon at bottom of imgburn that says read. It should save this to your C:/ drive as an ISO.
If its just the game save you want of this to be of the same region, its only the game save you need to change the BASLUS..... to be the same as the game. Otherwise to burn this game you can burn the mdf with imgburn. What exactly is it you want to convert? The game itself from PAL to NTSC?

how can i find out if the gta sa game save i dl is the special edition one? cuz on gamefaqs.com it just lists dif. saves and the region its from. along with how it was gotten..i think?

It won't say special edition. I just know that is the right link I gave you as you can see here if you scroll down then choose
GTA San Andreas Special Edition.
The way one knows its the right one is by the BASLUS-20946GTA50000 when you open it up in PS2 Savebuilder.
It will match that of your Trilogy SA. I have this same game GTA SA Special Edition and thats the files I used.

my game itself is ntsc. the id or w/e on the spine of the case is SLUS 20946P3. and yes, steps 1-9 EXACTLY.
