The bluray player is much better than that of a PS3. The only advantage of the PS3
is that it has gaming capabilities.
Other than than...A Bluray player

Well I disagree to you completely because you mean to say that Ps3 has a different lens and blu-ray player has a much better lens than Ps3. So you meand that blu-ray player have a orange or a yellow lens which help them get better high defination than ps3

PS3 for one reason, its upgradeable. Case and point yesterday's update makes it 1.1 bluray complient.

Dont listen to leel....obviously he has no clue what he is talking about. They both use the BD technology period. The only real difference is that the BD technology can be upgraded via the internet through your PS3. Not the stand alone players.

Hp Pavilion Notebook, AMD Turion 64 x2 1.8 ghz, 1024 DDR2 Ram, Win Vista, 120 HDD, Dual Format/Double Layer DVDR/RW, Nvidia Graphics.

Hp Pavilion Notebook, Intel Celeron M 1.6 GHZ, 1024 MB DDR Ram, Win XP SP2, 80 HDD,Dual Format/Double Layer DVDR/RW.

Computer, AMD 1.8 GHZ, 256 DDR Ram, Win XP SP2, Memorex Dual Format DVDR/RW.

Here's a good reason to get the PS3 ... the only unit that currently can be upgraded to Blu-ray 2.0.

What you are saying is not very true. Some Blu-Ray (and even DVD) players have an upgradable firmware.

For example I have a Panasonic DMP-BD10A :

and I can upgrade the firmware on their website :

I say the PS3 because at the very least, it's easily upgraded through the internet
