I plugged my ipod in and all it did was build a driver.. and then i had to go download itunes! But i want to be able to plug my ipod in and have it open in the media player and not in itunes does anyone know how to do that. i kinda need step by step becuase im not good at computers ;) thanks

does it show up as a pendrive?

if s you should be able to press triangle on it and select to view all the media on it

[NOPE NOT USING LINEX EITHER..... I HAVE A BRAND NEW COMPUTER. AND EVERYTHING I PLUG IN IT DOES THE SAME THING... iT NEVER RECOGNIZES ANYTHING.
