Copying songs from Ipod to Ipod problem.

Ok first off I read the stickies. My problem is I've tried everything everyone says. Short of buying a certain program which I refuse to blow more money since I just bought a new 80 Gig Classic Video Ipod.

Thing is all my songs are from CDS I own (ripped obviously). I don't do the ITunes thing (well besides the program to add new songs). Well regardless I tried the things like copying the songs to my computer and back to my new IPOD...etc. And then I tried some other methods. But the problem is while it converts most names of the songs back to normal, about 1/3rd are still the weird letters or their original names from when I put them on the original IPOD in the first place.

So why is it still doing that? I did everything right! I don't want to edit like 400 song names. Could it be because my old IPOD is/was to old (generation 2 just music version)?

Thanks for any help!

On second thought if I have to I will buy a program if it means I don't have to edit 400 song names every time I buy a IPOD or something happens like this.
