Hi, I've got a bit of an issue - my boyfriend's iPod had some issues, but now that it's been restored he lost all of the music for it. Because I don't have time to download/buy a dvd ripper and copy a bunch of dvds to my laptop, I was hoping there was a way to pull my movies (NOT music) from my iPod so I could put it on his. SharePod only gave me a music option and Axport is giving me fits about my library, so is there another program I could try, or does anyone have any solutions?
Does he syncs his ipod with your pc, all you have to do is copy the movies to his itunes account, and then sync the ipod, how ever if the movies come from itunes means they are DRM so they cant be play on another itunes unless you authorise his computer to do so. if the movies dont come from itunes is just a matter of getting a blank dvdr, and copying and pasting the movies you want to it, and he can then copy them to his itunes. Good Luck
You can use File Explorer to copy the files off an ipod. This is the safest way to move anything off an ipod since it copies without disturbing it. Make sure File Explorer is set to view hidden files and folders. What you are looking for is in a hidden directory that has the word control in it. It is pretty easy. Expect the file names to be scrambled.
if you want to choose wether to copy songs or videos from your iPod to your boyfriend's you should use this app. It will copy watever you want in the right order and category. it's pretty cool, you'll see ;)
