ipod nano help!

Can anyone help please.

I have just bought an ipod Nano and all i get on the screen is the apple logo. I have followed the reset instructions by holding the centre button and the menu simultainiously and i do get the apple logo but it will not do anything after this.

Any help is gratefully appreciated

if you got the ipod from Apple is time to take it back. i recently bought a 2 gen 32gb touch and it was freezing allot i had to keep restoring it, i took it back got a new one, no more problems, if you didn't get it from apple. then the instruction you got we're correct, hold menu + center this will reset the ipod, once the ipod turns off, hold the play + center button until u see a check on the ipod's screen, this will put Ur ipod in recovery mode. you can now hook it to itunes and restore it. good luck
