So, I got an iPod Touch from a friend today and have spent ALL DAY trying to fix it so I can use it. It's stuck in recovery mode. When I try to restore it in iTunes, it fails and gives me one of three (so far) errors: 1603, 1604 (most common), or 1611. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes. I've tried using a different USB slot. I've tried a different computer. Several in fact. I've tried running ZiPhone to switch between modes. I've shift+Restored to try different firmwares... ALL OF THEM, in fact. I've tried iTunes 7.5 AND 8.0 and had no luck with either. I've exhausted every thread I've come across and am getting too irritated with it to continue trying, so I figured I'd make a thread about my problem praying that SOMEONE knows the solution. This iPod Touch has NOT, I repeat NOT been jailbroken. I don't know the firmware that's on it, as it was like this when I got it. It's a 16gb, and I'm almost positive it's a 1st gen. The serial is 1B7409ZGW4T. That's all I know... Thoughts, suggests, solutions?
