when watching a film that has been converted to dvd it keeps on stopping and jumping back a few chapters, it will do this several times during the film, has anyone came across this, it is a possibility that it is my dvd player as ive had it for 8yrs but it wasnt a cheap one back then.
it is one file from a 700mb dl dvd rip,i do not know if the original file does this as i have never put them straight to disc and watched, ive just started useing dvd flick and at first i was not puting chapters in and the film would stop and stutter then skip a few seconds, now ive started putting chapters in it stops then goes back over.
I mean, did the original file play well on your computer? I'm curious to this, as I've used dvd flick for a couple years and haven't ran into the problems you are experiencing.
9/10 when this usually happens its the player, had this problem many a time with players 5/years or more old.Like it was pointed out by rtm27 should check the file on your computer before you burn it to disk.check if there is a firmware update for your player, when i updated my samsungDVD players firmware some years ago improved compatibility. The price of DVD players these days, and yours being 8 years old, might be better to go and buy a new player.
