Having a quiet PC is a huge quality of life improvement. I've also cut down on the super bright LEDs as well - they're pretty much all unplugged now. One handy tool I can recommend people is HDDLED Indicator - save needing a garishly bright hard disk LED by placing a set of coloured squares on your desktop - that way you can even tell WHICH drive is being accessed, and mouseover for a quick tally of total data used. My only gripe is that it can't be set to always-on-top, but apart from that, it's very useful, especially if you run a server with a dozen drives :)

We have to put up with that, but it's scumbags on mopeds instead. Police got called out last time at about 3am. If it's not that then dogs barking or idiots vandaliasing the streetlights outside, using them like a drum kit!

Wow guys LOL! I live next to a highway, but the cops are courteous enough to only use their lights, and not the siren. Happens every night at roughly 11:00pm. Must be quitting time...

This is an interesting thought, as this occurred to me the other day. It really boils down to what point people consider a song to be 'the same' as another, or 'too similar' at least, in much the same way people might consider songs to 'all sound the same' now either from a particular artist or in a particular genre.

There are sooo many bands that sound alike in the Metal genre. One of my friends is a lead singer in YET ANOTHER band that sounds the same. I haven't bothered telling him this LOL! :S
