oh there are loads of good kinds. just go to your nearest computer/tech store and look for brand name products(sony, panasonic ect.) and you're good.

is a patch cable the same thing or something else? i bought a cross over cable at ebay but the green packaging it came in says patch cable. it also doesnt work, i asked for a refund and the seller refused saying they are indeed cross over cables. the two ends of the cable are identical. what do i do, are the cables cross over cables? or is a patch cable something different? thanks

It sounds like it is a crossover cable. one way to check. put the two ends together and if the wires are in the same order (going from left to right) then its a regular cable. if their mixed up its a crossover cable. For example if the one side is green, red, yellow orange and the other is red, yellow, green, orange then its a crossover cable. good luck.
