Ok, for the people in Australia the Track you'll be needing is 81, a simple way to see which track is the track you need is to pop the DVD in a Player like the one under your TV. When the movie is playing use the Info button on the remote or which ever button brings up the info of the currently playing dvd and in the case of TRANSFORMERS2_D1_IT my info told me that it was playing track 81 of 99.

you guys using the free version of dvdfab decrypter better read this if you already haven't,because you WILL NOT be able to backup alot of the newer releases with heavy copy protection. read this!
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING DVDFab HD Decrypter ~
link (posted by greayagh)
link (posted by alan1476)
Dear All,
Effective with DVDFab v6.1.2.5, the updates for the free version of the product, DVDFab HD Decrypter, will no longer be linked to updates of the registered version. There are many reasons for this, some of which are explained below.
The effect of this new policy is that some of the features, fixes and updates in the release notes will not apply to the HD Decrypter version of the product immediately. Users attempting to use a feature that has not been updated will receive a message to that effect. This includes updates to copy protection schemes for both DVD and Blu-ray. Specifically, for V6.1.2.5, the protection removal for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is not included in DVDFab HD Decrypter. For Blu-ray to Blu-ray, only through MKB10 is supported, while MKB11-16 have been added to the registered version.
This new policy was developed in part due to the increased staff workload in maintaining all the versions and defeating the new protections of both Blu-ray and standard DVDs. We also feel that the registered users who support product development financially should have the most timely access to new features. These and other business factors will make it more feasible for us to continue to offer the free version of DVDFab on an ongoing basis.
DVDFab HD Decrypter will continue to receive immediate bug fixes, and new protection removal will be updated generally within 30-60 days of initial release to registered users. Thank you for understanding this new policy and we hope you will continue to use and enjoy DVDFab products.
Best regards,
Fengtao

THANKS FOR THE INFO:
Here in USA we use "Display" (on the Remote Control) to know the right "Title Angle" when the Original DVD is playing on the DVD Player.
THANKS ONCE AGAIN !!!

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me with ripping the new Transformers movie (Australian version)
I generally use Ripit4me, then use dvd decrypter and dvd shrink to rip and burn my movies.
If someone could help me out to rip this movie using the above listed programs, I would be grateful.
I'd rather not have to download/buy any other programs to do this task either.
Thanks in advance

@romiller
Though RI4M will still do many of the recent releases, Transformers II has too much copy protection for it to handle. It doesn't matter if it's one click or manual, it can't do it. So far slysoft hasn't updated the popular (but overpriced) AnyDVD to handle the task (11/5/09). It's not that much work to download DVDFab and use the free version to rip. If you've not used DVDFab before, you get a full function 30 day trial. If you like, you can still use DVD Shrink to compress. You may get red on the bar at the top showing the compression is too high. Simply uncheck the audio languages you don't use and the bar should go green.

The 1rs. Try:
I get my Transformers back up was using RipIt4me Method.......after that I found out that if take to long to rip it this way.....So since I know that actually is DVD Decrypter who' really is doing the Ripping Job; and that RipIt4me it just Analize the Movie and Interlace DVD Decrypter and Shrink together, etc.
Anyway The 2nd. Try:
I "ONLY" used use DVD Decrypter Only. But when you used it as a Ripper and Burner It will do it "full Disc" Only and It will do it from DVD5 to DVD5...or from DVD9 to DVD9.
Using DVD Drecrypter as a Ripper (Transformers is DVD9) it Opens as a Burner right away after ripping (It as Re-Author futures, but do not Compress); and it will ask you for a DVD9 Blank Disc to Burn.
"The whole idea is to be able to Compress"
So my 3rd Try:
I Closed DVD Decrypter after Ripping.....then Open DVD Shrink to Re-Author and Compress, etc.......then Re-Open DVD Decrypter to Burn....."THE ONLY PROBLEM IS TRICKY TO MAKE DVD SHRINK TO RECOGNIZE THE ISO FILE"
SOLUTION:
DVD Decrypter (as a Ripper) > DVD Shrink(Compress n Re-Authoring) > DVD Decrypter (as a Burner)
NOTES:
DVD DECRYPTER AS A RIPPER: Open > Mode > tick IFO I > Rip (17 minutes and Ignore all Errors) > Closed Program after Ripping.
DVD SHIRNK: Open > Re-Autor > Local Disc (C:)"Doubble Click" > Doubble Click The right File > Video_TS "Doubble Click" > Doubble Click the Right "Title Angle" > Compression Settings (Re-Autor and Compress around 4,300MB or little less) > Back Up.
DVD DECRYPTER AS A BURNER......will do it automaticly after Transcoding....etc....
It took me some time to put the whole thing Together using "Free Programs".
Good Luck and Happy Burning!!!!

Re transformers 2: I think you all have no idea what you are talking about.
This DVD has just been released in Aus and no software (burning, ripping) or what ever I have will work to allow the back up of this DVD.
I'm not new to this DVD back up process but I feel there is a different copy protection system happening with this DVD.
All the tech talk you go on about does nothing, if some one out there speaks English and knows (not Theorizes)how to crack this movie please respond.

The movie already been done using:
DVD FAB 5 OR 6 (Using Customize)
DVDFab 6 (lattest Version)
Any DVD (lattest Version)
DVD43 (lattest Version)
1 Click DVD Copy 5
Ideal DVD Copy
RipIt4me (Method...It takes long do)
DVD Decripter (only)
Decrypter > Shrink > Decrypter
and maybe they are more ways to get rip it.

Did you read somewhere that those processes worked or did you try them yourself? I ran RI4M both ways and it wouldn't work. Maybe my fault, but I've been using the software since it was introduced. I question DVD43, but I'm not going to put the trash on my PC again to try it.
I can personally verify that the latest CloneDVD2 with the latest AnyDVD will do Transformers with ease. Use one language from the selection to ease the compression. This is one of the Blockbuster size videos. No problems viewing the movie on a large screen. The DVD I have is locked to 1, 4 (1= US and Canada and 4= Australia and New Zealand, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America). I can also get a good rip with DVDFab 6125. DVDFab Platinum can do the entire process. With the free ripper the files can be used in DVD Shrink. The unneeded languages will need to be unchecked though. I got a red segment to the warning bar before unchecking.
DVDFab and Slysoft are the big players in decryption software and they have their programs working with Transformers and GI Joe (which has similar protection). There's the free way which takes a little more work and then there's the one button retail, also there's combos of the software that works. I was playing around with Recode (I've not updated Nero recently). The burn failed, but I used FixVTS on the files I saved from the temp folder and those burned and created a good movie.
Creaky
Good luck with the movies when they finally release in your zone. They're do-able unless the studioes throw you a "monkey wrench" (different disc protection). As usual, it was just a matter of waiting for the software to get updated. As long as they're getting paid, I suspect the major players will keep things moving along for copy protection removal.
Jenko
Note the DVD I used was also for Australia. It appears you may not have the right software or if you do, not the latest version. Out of curiosity I backed up the DVD using different software and can personally say there's nothing difficult. Free DVDFab 6125 to rip to the HDD, DVD Shrink for compression, and ImgBurn to burn (or DVD Decrypter). For DVD9 simply rip with DVDFab 6125 and burn with ImgBurn. The retail software I mentioned above are 1 button solutions I just used personally. There's nothing technical, simply open the DVD in the appropriate software and let it do the job for you. Occasionally I've run across a faulty pressed DVD that plays but won't record. Check the disc and if it's good, double check your software and try again.

RipIt4me work find with me the first time I back-up Transformer but It took me to long to get the job done (Ignoring Read Errors and setting to "Automaticly Ignore Read Errors" and also Retry 2 or 3 times at the end of the ripping)......I also Know that Othes people back up Transformers using this Method, but Not Everybody since all PC's are diff. and The Optical Drives are all Very Spacial (Hope you know that). THAT'S WHY SOME PEOPLE USE DIFF. METHODS (What it work for some people, do not work for others, and some methods "almost" work a 100% for every body.
That Why I will "Re-Try for the 2nd. time" Using DVD-Decrypter "ONLY"......
And Finaly "I Re-Try for the 3rd. Time" Using.
DVD Decrypter (rip) > DVD Shrink (Re-Author, Compress) > DVD Decrypter (Burn)
NOTE:
I "DO NOT" try many times over 'cos I maybe Obsess with the Movie Transformers 2.......If not 'cos I want To Use this Method(s) many times over in the near Future.
Hope this clear-up some of your Questions.

No need to run DVD Decrypter alone unless you're a glutton for punishment. After all, RI4M consists of DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, and ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter (to burn). RI4M creates the PSLs for Decrypter to decrypt with and also incorporates FixVTS internally for correcting file structure. The only flaw is the older software can't handle the protection being used here. It took my system nearly 1 1/2 hours to run the DVD Decrypter rip with RI4M and it turned out oversized and flawed. Decrypter with AnyDVD kept getting errors and I didn't have the patience to set there pushing the ignore button. More simple to use the Free DVDFab 6125 and use that rip in Shrink, or if you have AnyDVD you may as well get the CloneDVD2.
Update: I ripped Transformers using the AnyDVD ripper program. The files opened okay in Shrink, with the red in compression warning bar. Unchecking the unneeded languages under Compression Settings eliminated the red warning and improved the compression reading. I'd say it would compress and burn okay, but I'm donating no more DVDs to this release for now.

4,000 you say. I've been backing up my DVDs since the first 4X burners came along. As you can tell, I didn't get in on the ground floor. LOL However, I've been at it several years and only have a few hundred DVDs in my collection. I've spent a lot of money on my collection. I can only wonder at the cost of your video library along with the cost for media used to back it up. ;)

UMMM aaaa that was a total waste of an hour...I just read through a bunch of off topic 'who's peeeney is bigger' crap just to find I still can't rip this fkn movie.
I have anydvd6595. Clonedvd2. after the scan I hit the TS option like I have done a few hundred times now. There seems to be a prob with clonedvd finding the audio portions. The first two lines say NO AUDIO. So, I try McMenace's idea that he was soo adament about. It didn't work. In anydvd I hit "rip dvd to hard disc" BUT it seems to stop at 55% complete and then I get a fkn error code "File 03 VTS_01_.VOB 1048576 655360" What is that shit? Hy heck. Can someone here go through step by step in clonedvd2 and anydvd (THE BEST) and teach me what in the hell this crap is all about? Geeesh, I don't want to have to major in this.

I was able to backup the movie the day it came out doing the movie only ripping the file to my HDD with anydvd encoding doing the movie only with DVD Rebuilder and burning to disc with clonedvd 2. It could be you're ODD failing to read the dvd correctly or conflicting software/box system problems ? what kind of machine are you running?
