can someone help me on how to run thru vob blanker. I got the movie in & it read it fine, but when I tell it to process it it tells me: not enough space in output folder, avail 56062mb, required 84105mb. what does this mean? am I doing something wrong? I know there is no way the an 8.4gb disk won't fit on my hard drive which has over 54gb of avail space. Please if someone can even PM me & tell me what I'm doing wrong

You can't buy the betas... Slysoft will occasionally allow betas to be used with the trial, but normally they're only available to licensed users..

If you want to find out about the beta version, you'll need to go the the Slysoft AnyDVD forum

AnyDVD forum

the current beta is 6.5.9.4 and they are allowing trial on this one..

Thumbs up Success!!!!"Main Movie Only"
Success!!!!!!!....Transformers2 ROTF "Movie only"(Title Set 45)....no skips @ all. Unfortunately with AnyDVD/HD 6.5.9.3 off. I Ripped the title to my 1TB hard drive using VOB BLANKER, Then backed up the main movie using NERO 8 Recode 3. I tried the same back-up with menu and disabled extras from the same file and video preview plays the movie in proper sequence but the end result with menu was out of sequence. I'll accept this small victory and the main movie for now. I think I"ll go see what possible BD+ challenges the BLU-RAY title offers. I'm reading of another work around with AnyDVD/HD and CloneDVD2 where it is suggested that you rip the the title to hard drive using AnyDVD. Then open file with CloneDVD2 delete all titlesets except titleset 45 leaving the 45 and the menu. I tried this and it does not seem to work as CloneDVD2 does not playback tltleset 45 from start to finish in the preview pane. So after wasting several 8.5 dual layer disc on other attempts to complete a back of this title. I passed on that suggestion.
Your right i got the menu with the movie, again use clonedvd with your help using VOB BLANKER...
i just finsh watchin the whole movie and everything good...
if you like me to go into detail i could but.. alittle bit of eveyones info help me get this done thanks to eveytone...

Donwload and run "CCleaner" is free. This program can help you to erase all the crap in your computer and gain space: not worry about the registration thing, etc. and also follow what icexxxx told you to do.

I've been using ccleaner regularly for over a year on that comp. I don't know what the problem is cause I just ran it & still gave me the same error. Any other suggestions?

ok I understand that, but the error isn't on anydvd its on vob blanker. I'll try to find a beta version of anydvd. So no one can help me out with vob blanker? I'm gonna have to just start my own thread since my problem is unique

How is your problem unique ?. We don't entertain multiple threads for movies anyway, it's better for everybody if we have one thread per movie title, a one stop shop if you will.

I'd already posted to remind you that 7thsinger already said he would post back with his (DVDFab) progress when he can ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/804897/4880152

It seems there's problems (AnyDVD) with the menu ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/804897/4880022

But then there's a success story (AnyDVD) here ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/804897/4880802

And another (AnyDVD) here ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/804897/4880920

As per Mrguss, try movie only mode, when there's new copy protections the best way is always to try movie only mode anyway. However N2DVD above has backed up the full disc with the latest AnyDVD Beta. It could be that you just have to wait for AnyDVD to be updated then use the 21-day trial of it, but as i keep saying, 7thsinger will post back when he can, so we'll have an idea how DVDFab fares. I don't use AnyDVD, only DVDFab, but the movie isn't out here in UK 'til November so i can't help other than point you towards the above posts..

'fraid you're the one who's not reading.. it would appear that there's a newer protection in this movie that needs the latest AnyDVD beta. And as i'm now fed up of saying, when we have some comments re DVDFab we'll have a better picture of what's going on (it could be that we find out that DVDFab needs an update, or maybe not). You do realise that you need AnyDVD or DVDFab to rip modern movies, right ?.. ie if you don't use one of those two programs then you won't be ripping this movie at all..

(I can only go by what i've read so far as I won't get this movie 'til the end of next month. I'm sure there's an echo in here)..

edit- it looks like we might be waiting for a DVDFab update after all ~ http://club.cdfreaks.com/f116/transformers-back-up-copy-302203/

You think that your problem is "unique" 'cos maybe your problem is other and I also agree to start your own thread about Vob Blanker if you feel that this is your headache.

Even if you have 57GB Space left on your Hard Drive. I recoment you "Movie Only" before 'cos maybe you are trying to back up the "Full Disk" and since you maybe do not have enought space on your Temporal Memory access or RAM for you "Big-File" to be process that could be your problem:

How Old is your PC ?
Are you have a minimun of 1GB of Ram ?

Today PC are coming with +3GB of RAM, the more RAM the faster your computer will respond, but also RAM act as Temporal Memory too if I am not wrong. Tha's why People recomend to "do not multy-task" when you are backing up a DVD.

Since Most of the Movies Today are coming on Dobble Layer Disk and the "Movie Only" are around 5GB to 5.5GB and Video takes a lot of space inside your PC. "Yes" alot of people will gonna start to have problems like your's.

I hope this may help you.
If I am wrong, anybody is welcome to correct me !
thx.

His problem is only unique if he knows a way to rip this movie without either AnyDVD or DVDFab. Here's the clue ~

A DVD that tries to fool people into thinking it's 84GB, a classic case of copy protection.

I feel like i'm in the Twilight Zone. I've posted links to the relevant posts in this thread and we're still going round in circles. We can see that this movie seems to need the latest Beta of AnyDVD and i've already posted a link re DVDFab from the CDFreaks site.
So... datboytaz - Can we please start actually reading the previous replies now ?

From talking with James of the Slysoft development team AnyDVD 6.5.9.4 will handle this title. Though from what i've read it still requires some work to get it to fit on an SL dvd.

Other research (as linked by Creaky) shows that DvdFab is most likely going to need an update as well to fix this one.

Typically, i'm able to get my copies early. I have not been able to get this one early, so i'll have to wait until Tuesday to get a hold of it and get it backed up. I assure all here that as soon as i'm able to work through it, (with both, but focusing on DvdFab) i will. I've already been talking to Fengtao (dvdFab) and he's managed to get some R1 IFO's already and is working on an update. But, as we've found there is always more than one way to de-fur a feline. :)

I just noticed upon re-reading my last reply that my reply may have seemed to have been implying for you to start reading mine and other peoples' replies, that wasn't the case, have edited accordingly.

What I want to know about is all the bloody speak of using VobBlanker to rip the disk, without some sort of decryption program running in the background, as it is not a ripping program but an editing program. Perhaps I have missed the boat here and am voicing my ignorance, but I believe that is a bunch of nonsense.
