got my station 2day,trying it out,do i have to reflow any chip in order or only the gpu
great 1st i had 0102
now im getting 0002

with a good reflow, and not some heat gun/xclamp replacement the console shouldnt have a problem lasting for a long while. as for removing dvd drive and putting fan on gpuheat sync as a fix for 0102 thats just wrong. what they are attempting to do is get the solder hot enough to to melt without having the console shut down.
Seen as the dvd drive contributes to the build up of heat on the motherboard and a jtagged 360 doesn't need a dvd drive, would it not be a good idea to remove the drive from a jtagged xenon in order to lengthen its lifespan? Removing the drive won't fix the rrod on a faulty console but it could reduce the risk significantly of a console getting it. So do you think it would reduce the risk or would the difference be negligible? I wish I could buy a jtagged 360 and not worry about getting the rrod. Jtaggable jaspers are too hard to find. Thanks.

it might help out some, but i would rather have the dvd drive in case xexmenu, fsd or something like that messes up and you have to use viper to delete some files for it to start working again. that and i had my launch xenon for 4 years without any RROD or anything. only got rid of it when it finally got banned.

maybe. but try loosening the bolts as 0002 according to HERE is:
E02: possibly a Network Interface problem (might be fixed by loosening the x-clamps)

ok i tried to reflow 3 different xbox's no one of them work,i reflowed both chips twice and im doing something wrong i followed all the steps on this thread

About 95% of the time all you have to reflow is the GPU I've only flowed 2 CPUs out of more than 100 reflows click on the link below most of the errors that have something to do with RAM are also fixed by reflowing just the GPU if you guys have any questions ask away and I'll help out

ok i dont have a pre heat station,so i got me a griddle and have the 4 screws drilled to it,i preheat it for 5 mins st 350,i get my 360 and use the flux,i use the dropper to get the drops under the chips,i place the board on the screws on the griddle,then i follow the steps you guys posted,should i go a little higher than 300?

I have the Ayoue preheater and preheat for 10min at 250C on it before I start the heatgun I've heard you have to go higher on griddles though. And I don't bolt the board down and don't use flux I've heard people advise against both of those things and staying away from them has worked for me. On the box that has 0002 if losseing the bolts if you did an x-clamp replacement doesn't work then you can scrap it it's not gonna work. Couple of things make sure your heatgun and griddle are on different platforms so you don't run the risk of moving the griddle and be careful on how close the nozzel is to the chip any slight touch while reflowing will end up with a bridged point. I usually start the nozzel close and 30 sec into the 190c stage I check to see how much warping the board is doing and move it a little bit very carefully and then once more at 250c.

well after 4 more reflows another 2007 finally got it up and running,error codes where e74,then 0101 if im right then 0011,then overheating now it works,gotta run it for a couple of hours before i send it back

Might need to seek services for my 360 (anyone with a reflow). RROD for the 6th time and can't be bothered to try and band-aid it anymore. PM me for details if you need a launch Pro model to mess with to practice/learn as I don't really care at this point if it can't be salvaged...though if it could be saved that would be great as I am not spending another dime on another 360.

wow thats alot of rr0d it might just be dead,i dont think we can offer services on here against the rules
just finished reflowing 2 more boxes,0101 and 0103 i think it was a short,but got them up and runnin i love the reflow machine

Sounds like it's running too hot. A reflow with flux should fix the problem.
It's pretty funny the other day i was using my big xbox screwdriver to tighten the gpu nozzle and snap, broke off the nut that was welded on there. My brother works for a steel company and is a certified welder so tonight i went to his house and asked him to fix it.
I'm really suprised he didn't blow through the metal because it's so thin. Anyway here's a picture of it, that sucker is never comming off again.
