ah ok thats an n line not a c line but it will still work in cccam .one thing you have to be aware of is that each line in cccam.cfg has a number and also starts with a # symbol sort of like this
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
you can put a c line oor n line in any line in free line in cccam.cfg or if there is text in the line you can delete the text and put your c or n line there ,but you have to delete the # symbol at the start of the line . a # symbol at the start of a line locks the line so that line wont work .so you must delete the # symbol for the line to work ,and of course be sure to click on file (top left of screen) and click on save and exit .also if you are typing the n line into cccam ensure you have typed and spaced it exactly as you were given it for instance 0 and o or not the same ,so double check you typed the n line correctly.

its always wise to restart cccam or to reboot the box after you edit cccam.cfg ,so you should do that and all being well either way you should see starting cccam on your tv screen ,after that try a pay channel .

if your confident you have typed the n line perfectly and cccam has restarted and you still have no pay channels you then need to look at your box and router .so if you still have no pay channels disconnect the ethernet cable from both the box and the router ,now put the box in standby and unplug it ,now stitch off and unplug your router .

now reconnect the ethernet cable to both the box and the router ensuring you connect it correctly ,now plug in and switch on the box and go to a free channel ,now plug in and switch on the router (it may take about 20 or 30 seconds to boot up ),now all being well you should see a light on the router indicating a device (your box) is connected to your router via the ethernet connection ,if you look through the vents on the top of your box (look in the rear left corner )you should also see a light indictating the box is connected as it should be to your router . if you see both lights all is well with that side of things .

that really only leaves the n line ,so if your confident you typed the line exactly as you were given it i can only imagine the n line is not active .that means you have to contact who ever you got your n line from ,tell them you have checked everything and the line is not active .

as i say if you did all the above and the pay channels dont open then more than likely your n line is not active ,so that means you have to contact the person who gave you the n line .if you cant contact that person then im sorry youve lost your money and again i dont mean to be harsh but i hope if thats the case its a lesson learned .a simple way to check your box is working is to get a test line ,obviously if you get a test line and it works fine then your box is working correctly .

hi mate thats not a dreambox clone ,its probably more akin to a spiderbox or openbox .i dont have much info on that box except for the following .obviously the correct patched firmware is required.

the first thing to do is to activate the Super Setting.

press Menu button /choose Setting / Version.

With the Cursor on the Version press the red button then Enter the PIN 1510.

this process disables aswell as enables Super Setting.

choose the Super Setting and press the ok button .

now you can select a cam ,the options are
CCcam /NewCamd/ Avatar /eCAM or Disable.
so select the cam you want (usually cccam)
after you select your cam the Config option will appear. so here You add your c line like this example {c,port,address,username,password}
so for example if your c line is lewington.dyndns.com 12000 user101 share101 the c line would look like this {c,12000,lewington.dyndns.com,user101,share101} if your using an n line really you should just need to add the deskey at the end like this
{c,12000,lewington.dyndns.com,user101,share101,01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14}

To unhide the data, you need to press the red button and enter the PIN number 7878

all being well you can then choose the test option which you should find near the bottom of the config menu. It will try to make a connection, and all being well you will get a Success result ,if you get a fail you have done some thing wrong so you have to start again .as i say thats about all the info i have but its always wise to ensure that if your typing c or n lines that you ensure they are spelled and spaced exactly as you were given them for instance 0 is not o so if you should have 0 and type o the line wont work ,so again double check the spelling and digits also ensure your box is indeed connecting to the internet ,check the ethernet cable is connected properly and check the box network settings . i hope that helps so i cant help more .

hi mate what i did was to install vlc player on my laptop rather than in the box ,this is what i did .

HOW TO USE VLC TO VIEW YOUR DREAMBOX CHANNELS ON YOUR LAPTOP

first download and install VLC MEDIA PLAYER on your computer ,you can get it here
http://download.cnet.com/VLC-Media-Play...4-10267151.html

if your computer is a mac you need a version suitable for use on a mac computer .

now you need the ip address of your dreambox , on a dm500s you press the menu button /then press number 6 (setup) /then choose expert setup/then choose communication setup ,now you will see your box ip address (write this down )and while your there disable dhcp and then save and exit .

now open internet explorer and look in the top left corner and you will see your web browser (it will look a little like this )

depending on what you use for surfing the net (some use google or yahoo) you will see some thing like this http://www.google ,left click on the words http://www.google to highlight it and then right click on it and a box with options will appear ,now click on delete and the writing will be gone . now in the web browser type the ip address of your dreambox and click on the little arrow to the right of the ip address and you should be asked to enter your dreambox username and password .the default username is root and the default password is dreambox .

now i use nabilo images so i have the nabilo web interface ,so having accesses the web interface i click on tv where i can either access a complete list of channels or my bouquets , i can click on any channel i want from there and the channel will change on the tv .also having clicked on tv i can additionaly click on control and then click on remote control ,then i see a picture of a virtual remote control that works exactly the same as the real remote and i can change channel /adjust vollume etc . so having selscted a channel to watch you now need to open vlc palyer .

depending on your computer you can access the desktop icons in a few ways ,either via a little icon on the task bar in the bottom left corner or like on my computer you can click oon a little box in the right corner of the task bar in the bottom right corner of the screen ,having done this internet explorer and your web interface will remain open .

now all being well you should see your desktop icons, click on the vlc player icon ,depending on the version of vlc your using the layout may be a little different but here is a picture of what you might expect to see

now click on media ,a drop down box will appear ,now select open network stream ,

now a box like this will appear

click on network .

now you will see please enter a network URL: (you type your dreambox ip here ) ,lets imagine your dreambox ip is 192.168.1.100 you would type the ip like this
http://192.168.1.100/video.m3u ,next click on play .again a box will appear asking you to enter your dreambox username and password (the default username is root and the default password is dreambox ,or if you have changed either or both the username or password type your current username and password) and then click on ok and you should be seeing your current tv channel on your laptop screen . when you want to change the channel click on pause and then stop and exit vlc player and then return to internet explorer and your web interface ,and change the channel . then open vlc player again (as you did above ) and go to open network stream and then network (as you did above ) the ip addrees of your box may still be visible where you typed it in ,if so just click on play ,but if not look to the right of where the ip address is and you will see a little arrow pointing down (click on this ) then click on the dreambox ip .and then click on play .

you can also use vlc player to view youtube videos etc ,all you need to do is copy and paste the vidoes url and enter it in the same box you typed your dreambox ip and then click on play .there is also a record mode which enables to to record what your watching. i hope that helps mate .

Followed the above info but still unable to get it to work.
I also use the Nabilosat image and can get this to open on the web browser as you mentioned. When I open VLC and enter the ip address for the network stream (http://192.168.x.x/video.m3u) followed by the user name and password for the box all I get is VLC orange and white traffic cone icon.
I have tried it about 20 times but it did work once for some reason.

http://192.168.1.100/video.m3u ,next click on play .again a box will appear asking you to enter your dreambox username and password (the default username is root and the default password is dreambox ,or if you have changed either or both the username or password type your current username and password) and then click on ok and you should be seeing your current tv channel on your laptop screen . when you want to change the channel click on pause and then stop and exit vlc player and then return to internet explorer and your web interface ,and change the channel . then open vlc player again (as you did above ) and go to open network stream and then network (as you did above ) the ip addrees of your box may still be visible where you typed it in ,if so just click on play ,but if not look to the right of where the ip address is and you will see a little arrow pointing down (click on this ) then click on the dreambox ip .and then click on play .

you can also use vlc player to view youtube videos etc ,all you need to do is copy and paste the vidoes url and enter it in the same box you typed your dreambox ip and then click on play .there is also a record mode which enables to to record what your watching. i hope that helps mate .

Thanks Piopat, is there a link or a guide on how to setup the box and VLC to do this, been trying for the past few days without any success.
hi mate what i did was to install vlc player on my laptop rather than in the box ,this is what i did .

I have tried it about 20 times but it did work once for some reason.
ok mate perhaps you should try a different newer version of vlc ,also dont forget if your box ip isnt static change it to static (otherwise it may change) so its a good idea to disable dhcp so your ip wont change .so tomorrow double check your box ip as it may have changed ,if its the same disable dhcp ,and first try just entering http://192.168.x.x as opposed to what i said above .if that doesnt work then i would say uninstall your current version of vlc and install a newer version ,i promise with the right version it will work .the version i use is 2.0.1

I'm using version 2.0.1 of VLC and have DHCP disabled on the box. I've managed to get it working but I have to do an extra step in VLC for some reason.
After entering the IP address for the network stream in VLC and entering the box user name and password I get a blank screen (just the VLC icon displayed). If I then right-click on this screen then select Playlist the TV channel opens up.
Thanks for the info Piopat.
