Thanks! Originally posted by piopat: your clients will only receive the channels you PAY for , if your subscription card only has a basic pay channel package your clients will only receive them . the only way your clients would receive additional pay channels is if you upgraded your subscription and added other packages movies/sports etc .
the only other way you could receive and pass on additional channels is if you had a c or n line from another source (someone that you were sharing with , that is they share their card with you and vice versa )that allowed you to pass on these channels to your clients .from what you say I doubt you have that , so in that case no , your clients will only receive the channels you pay for .
you ask if there is any way around this , I take it you mean is there another way to receive free pay channels that you can pass on to your clients ,if your asking about a hack there is no hack for sky . the only way you can receive and share additional channels is via a c or n line , you could look online and get free c and n lines but you get no guarantee they will work or how long .

is sly N3? My card is N3 will DM500 be able to read it? Can I use the nds boxkey generator for my box cisco 4586DVB? what is ird & rsa and do I need these? should I use mgcamd or cccam? sorry too many questions, appreciate ur kind advice. thanks!
Originally posted by piopat: i will assume you have your own sly card and so if you followed the instructions above you can now place your card in the card slot and your card will now work in your dreambox ,but if you have movies and sports channels those channels wont open without the sly box boxkey . to get the boxkey you need to download nds boxkey generator (you can download this from link number 1 of my signature area) . you then enter the sly box serial number in to it and it returns your boxkey (which you will then put into cccam.cfg )you can find the serial number in 2 places ,the first is at the rear of the sly box where you will find a sticker with a 17 digit serial number ,or in the sly box menu in system info you will find an 8 digit serial number ,you can enter either of these serial numbers in to the boxkey generator and you will get the same boxkey . now make a note of the boxkey so we can enter it in to cccam.

as I say for cable cs you need certain keys rsa etc and info that is embedded in the box , you need specialised knowledge and equipment to get the keys/codes that you require from the box . if you know someone that knows code and knows how to dump (extract ) the required info from the box you can do what you want , if not you need to find someone that can do it for you (which I cant help you with ) or try satellite cs which is a lot easier atleast for now .

@piopat - my problem was a "wrong c -line" (you did mention it)Apparently it was configured for another box or something like that-i'm not to tecchie on this
One existing prob that has not gone is that is volume is very poor - at 60% it is barely audible (and that is with tv vol settings at max-which means an explosively loud sound when a dvd or game console is played) and also sometimes there is a piercing noise on start up

if your box is a dm500s well the volume on them I have to say is not the greatest but that said its not the worst either , you shouldn't need your tv volume up as far as it goes . my friend has a dm500s and where his volume goes as high as 50 on the tv he has to put the tv on about 25 to hear the the dm500s , so that's about half the tv volume . what tv connection are you using ? is it a scart ? the box also has rgb outputs , that's the 3 red/white /yellow connections , if your tv has those connections aswell you could try that and see if the volume improves any .

if you mean irish cable im sure it is , the trouble is they will be small private servers , and you have to find one and get on it .

well why not ask your mate to talk to the guy that sold him a box , that seems the obvious move . as I say these servers are private they wont advertise , so I cant really help you with that .

this truly a great write up piopat and a great help from you. i have been useing CS for a year now with very minor problems that are easy to fix.
But since last month i upgraded to few more channels and one will not clear in the dm800 and neither in the two shares that i have the channel boxnation any help or info on this piopat on why i wont clear.

as you say you upgraded does that mean you have your own dm800 server ? , I don't have boxnation myself but as far as im aware you need oscam to clear this channel . you don't need oscam and cccam just oscam , if your addons panel only allows installation of oscam and cccam combined you can install that and then delete the cccam side .then transfer your f lines and server details to the oscam configs .
you also mention two shares , so I again hav eto assume you have a few c lines (or n lines ) and that boxnation doesn't clear on these .there can be two reasons for this , one being that they server doesn't supply this channel or two that he does but the cam he is using is not clearing it , either way you would need to speak to your line supplier about this . sorry if I didn't understand you properly .

hi mate well as I say to clear boxnation on your dm800 (with your own card ) you need to install oscam . if boxnation is not opening from lines that you are using , either the lines don't supply this channel or they do but the line supplier isn't using the right cam to open boxnation . if the person that gave you the line (or lines ) has boxnation and then uses the right cam then boxnation should open on your box .
