no idea, his mates father has been dealing in EV for years and he took his box last night and returned it flashed.
The place where i buy my starviews in the uk told me yesterday that updated firmware for the EV 1000 was going to happpen in the next day or 2

Dave I jave no reason to believe its not true.
The guy in question wouldnt know how to flash a box or spoof that he got it sorted. He needed to ring me with helphooking up his SV4 upstairs so I believe him.

Did I say I "heard" a rumour or it is a rumour? As I said earlier on page 1 I had a liking for the guys there, but they are a bit late to the table.

Went down to have a look at it and he was taken for a ride, will kinda.
They plugged a starview box in and hid it from sight on him. When he clicked the remote of the EV one of the lads were using the starview at the same time, they told him that the software was starview software they put on it and as such the channells were all messed up and the remote wasnt working properly and it had a starview splashscreen!
Live and learn!

lucky he could have been took for a few quid then collected a few of his mates boxes and totally screwed!
i just cant see the point in why they done it on him if not for money?
