if you have read the step by step, you need to flash the box as per the instructions and then connect the box, scan for chans (on nthl - 6887) and then follow the guide which I gave to you about how to select the server etc

GROOVERIDER 1.04 FOR FIXED FOR STABILITY.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY IF YOU DONT WANT DEAD BOXES WHEN LOADING THE FIRMWARE!

Load grooverider file on to your usb memory stick, make sure power is off on machine and insert the memory stick into the back usb socket

From the main menu go to Utility and then press the right arrow button and select usb
from the right hand side, you will see the grooverider file press ok on it and make sure to select SW+ALL DATA UPDATE..

the machine will update and restart (don't pull your memory stick out until the machine has fully started up)
you now need to scan your channels, NO SPLITTERS ON YOUR INCOMING CABLE WHEN DOING YOUR SCAN
so go to installation press the right arrow button again and go down to AUTO CABLE SEARCH
all you need to change here is the symbol rate.
The symbol rate determines your area for example N*l is 6887
When you have selected your area go to start scan.

once the scan has finished go to menu then highlight accessory and on the remote press the numbers "8989"
you will then see "K*yedit" appear on the right hand side, go to it and press ok and just check that auto update is on if its off just turn it on.

Then go to to your channels by exiting the menu and pressing ok..
Select a non FTA channel and leave it until a picture appears
PLEASE NOTE IT CAN TAKE UPTO 5 MINUTES TO UPDATE SO BE PATIENT

Channel list..

all your channels are categorised by
pressing ok on your remote brings up the channel list but it will be in simple layout,
pressing the red button takes you to detail,
now if your list don't appear to be categorised you will need to press the SAT button on the remote and you need to select cable
at the bottom of the list this will then give you the categories,
to change each section you simply use your left or right arrow buttons

yes best thing is to start with a clear head and also patients

check what firmware you have on your box if you can get into to turn the emu on thats fine then just start as below

so start from scratch at the very start and go forward follow every step and it will work as long as you are in the correct area as above you must be in NTL area of Ireland 6887 symbol rate.

and will not work on chorus or in the UK

Just a few things to clear up.
ST*VU 6, Dreambox, & I think latest Kryptvu work on 6887 EIRE.
Do not use grooverider 1.04; 8989 password does not open on this F/ware.
Use version 1.02.
St*vu 6 is great value if it lasts 12 months
St*vu track record dictates it won't last, you'll be left up swanee with no paddle.
Best bet is Dream-sat box; unlimited servers; if one closes down, switch server.
Just be sure to pay short-term server rent.
Cable-servers very limited, if yours goes off-line you may not have alt. server.
Good bet is to set up your own cable-server line (it's illegal)
P.S.
TUT-TUT MICKAH
I thought only novices posts were edited, Unless you knowingly incurred mods. wrath
because you felt info. needed to be made public.
Thought only renegades like me pulled strokes like me.

Your knowledge ok ST*VU 6 is blatantly abstract, that's not your form. Your posts are
usually bang on the money. Read CLAIR-B's tut, it's very good.
Have been at lot of funerals last 5 weeks, but should be stable by Sunday.

eamo that is clair B tut all i done was pasted it on here from the front page so defo not my work as for the firmware that is the latest available to hand and if that dont work that is not down to me but to the starview team they should do thier homework on the firmware they released it as a working new image all we can do here is pass on the info end of.Any MISTAKES ON IMAGES IS STARVIEWS BABY not the poster.... and as i have said before on here i dont own a box so i dont know if the image works or not.... personally i would not have another starview how long will it be till we are up at Starview...... 7 ...... 8

Starview 6 is the only working cable box in Ireland on 6887 NTL at the moment but that will be short lived when Krypt come on stream as for Dreambox i myself have not seen any mention of that box working on any cable.

Kryptview is the only working box in the Uk at the present time working 100% in all N3 areas there is no other working box in the Uk NOW at the present time
