I already answered your question on the thread you started.
All the missing channels are on freq 299.
There are presently NO channels working on 299.
Discovery etc all GONE.
Anyone notice a pattern here?
Expect them all to go soon.

I have gone thought the instructions again and again but cant get it working. can some one PM with some pointers please
what part of dublin are ya in mate? are ya 6887 or 6875? only 6887 is working so far!
How do I tell if its 6887/6875 or 6887? Can you let me know. Thanks Kenneth
give me a general area of where ya live... dont want your full address haha for example swords raheny etc etc? do ya rememer when you were installing your old sv box on nag 2? when you were in tuning it, it was either 6887 or 6875?
I'm in Lexlip, Kildare. Last one I did was a krytview, would it still have the info. I suppose I am just looking for general setup details, what ip address I should use, etc
Channels appear but scrambled.
Thanks
Kenneth

Apologies Pip.
What usually happens when they are trying to stop people using these Boxes is they try a new method of scrambling and they choose a certain frequency to start with.
In this instance they have chosen to knock off all channels on 299 frequency.
Their new method is working at the moment......so far.
When they read these forums and see they are succeeding in blocking these certain frequencies they will eventually do the same to all the channels.
So it could be Bye Bye to all channels soon.
I hope I'm wrong.

Yep agree 100% Dubfella.
Boxes will go blank soon.
Unless SV6 crew come up with a new software release.
They are aware of the problem and will try to find a workaround.
Here's hoping

@BRIAN1956
Can you explain how they can "knock off" channels on a cardsharing system? I just can't for the life of me see how it is possible when the "istream" server is linked to a legit card!

they can block the ip address of any service they can also prob find the server and shut it down
also as has been said above its trial and error they can knock any freq they want off and see what happens
and as they monitor most forums all the info they need they get from here so they dont actually need to research it themselves as i have said before its you who are giving them all the info they need so you are actually shooting yourselves in the foot by posting the info for them.
when there is a prob do you not think the people that make the boxes and the software are not aware of this they are but you are actually letting the cat out of the bag yourself

Hi e54. Fair enough, but that doesn't answer the question of how they can change the encryption (for example) of channels on a particular freq without it affecting their subbed customers!

they do it and let their customers complain then they fix the problem and they can knock the freq off a certain number of cards without the whole lot of their customers been cut off until they find the actuall number of the cards that has been used you are giving them that info by posting so all they have to do is their homework to find the cards that are been shared as per my previous post above

ITS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!
If it was that easy to stop why are there so many c/s servers out there still running when SLY have all the money in the world to stop them???
It's Starview all the way now!!!!

Five arrests over illegal satellite card sharing
By Andrew Penman on February 17, 2010 10:51 AM in Investigations news
Police acting on intelligence supplied by the Federation Against Copyright Theft have simultaneously raided addresses in Middlesex and Hampshire as part of an investigation into a satellite card sharing website.
Four men were arrested and large quantities of computers, satellite cards and card readers were seized along with financial documentation and other correspondence.
All four were interviewed and bailed to return pending forensic examination of the seized evidence.
Meanwhile officers from Wiltshire Police investigating an eBay seller executed a search warrant at an address in Highworth, Wilts. A 35-year-old male was arrested and a large quantity of satellite equipment was seized. Police were supported by investigators from FACT.
The man was interviewed and bailed to return to Swindon Police

So let me get this straight you guys in Ireland are using this SV6 with an internal clock that blows the box after a year. Are you all Mad! I'm in London so far my sv1 is still active. What broadband connections are you guys using? 2mb, 10mb or 20mb?
Do you get all the channels or only FTA channels. So when all you guys are hooking on to a server to use your box I assume somewhere along the line your bandwidth is slow? does this affect the audio visual streaming? I weighing up my options in case my box goes down too.
Why is there an internal clock in an SV6 box? Is there some law or something that says the makers of the box have to do this.
