I would imagine the Starview people will have a site set up where you can buy an update for your box.
It won?t be a software download like the first release for this box
You pay your fee and the box is reactivated through the internet to your IP address of your box.
It wouldn?t be good business to just make new boxes when you can update them and still charge the same fee.
Hi Brian
There will not be a site set up for payment to be made for this service as its totally illigal so they will have to purchase a new box once their year is up unless they decide not to do it that way but someone is going to have to pay for the server so you can bet it will be the customer via a new box

just wondering lads when mmds comes to a halt how long will it take to have sv6 software available(maybe someone knows) for the mmds market, when i contacted one of the suppliers on this it seemed i had the door slammed in my face the only thing that seemed to bother these guys is how many of these boxes do you want now and for the forseeable future abviously my answer to him wasnt good enough cause he has disappeared into thin air..

very intresting.... hmmm

Can anyone confirm that can see SK* movies in Dublin?
Do I need a dish for this box? It will work with the N*L standard 15 channels cable?

Does anyone have a list of the commands to install the starview 6 on the n*l cable system, the stations are all scrambled. The box is connected to the net and cable. I suppose I need ip settings for box/router?

dont worry there is the same amount of channels on MMDS as there are on some parts of the chorus network also there are 2 different symbol rates for MMDS which are 6875 / 6887 so if you are on 6887 you will get the full line up of channles and you will be able to use the SV6 in your house as they use DVB-C as for 6875 MMDS they use DVB-T and will not work on that box but im pretty sure there will be a box made for the 6875 network as well in time.
For now you will just have to be patient you can always take a sub out for the time being.

If that is the case you are on DVB-T and the SV6 will not work for you as you are 6875

jack use the reply button only when replying as you are padding the post which is not allowed.
Also i would not be buying any box at the moment even if yours is working as it will be gone soon ;)
