Alright lads, bit of help if ya could please. Trying to sort out SV6 for a mate, been at it for a few hours now to no avail. This is my first bash at an SV6, was familier with the older SV's but switched to KV once the new NAG rolled out. Followed all the tutorials etc, put 'theshowmustgoon2.12' via usb, factory reset and scan (have scanned with LAN cable in & out). Cables are fine pressed 1819 on SS1, tried resetting router box off for 2 mins etc, all prem channels say 'scrambled'. Read somewhere I have to make sure it's on U-Stream through network in options. Is this correct as when I go into network there is only 2 choices, IP setup & SW download.

PS - Don't know how long he's had this box, is it goosed if it's over 12 months or am I off the mark there?

Cheers

box should be fine
later flashes remove the need to set ustream etc

go into network settings/ip and scroll to bottom and click apply, that will
zero them out. Wait 10 secs and it should refresh.
If it's picking up these then network should be ok.

exit, go to sly 1, press 1819 on remote and it should say enabled.

leave on that channel for a few minutes and it should come back on

pressing centre button on remote should show connected at bottom of telly if all ok.

If I have an issue I usually reboot the box as well as modem.

PS, I never bother factory resetting and never have had a problem as I hate
re deleting all the garbage.

Nice one, will have a go tonight when I get home. It was picking up the IP address etc but it does say 'not connected' in bottom right when on SS1. Will have a bash and be in touch. Thanks

Guys I need help.
I installed the new firmware and search for the channels, enabled it using 1819.
It's picking all the IP settings s but no channels work except for free ones.
Are there anything that I am missing?
It says Not Connected at the bottom.

Also intresting to see that these channels are only working if the box is flashed with latest firmware the old firmware is only giving 84 channels so i would advise that you all should use the last firmware to get all of these 144 channels...

Had a stab at that mate, zero'd out all the addresses & it kicked back in again. Still say's not connected in the bottom right of the screen. If i try & do s/w update the 2 bars display on the screen but they don't fill up, they just vanish. I think modem & everything is ok coz as soon as i plug the Kryptview in everything is sound. How do i know if the firmware has loaded on correctly, is there a screen that tells me whats flashed on the box? When i downloaded 'theshowmustgoon2.12' its just a 'white sheet' that i save to my desktop then transfer onto the usb stick. It also says unknown file, should it have a specific file type? Sorry if there's a few questions there just trying to get to the bottom of it. Cheers, jb

Your pc wont recognise it because it does not have an association with it, just ignore that and put onto pendrive.

Browse to usb on stb and upgrade, if successful it will say so and say rebooting in 3 seconds.

Go to sly sports 1, select 1819 (enable) and wait around a minute and it should be ok

I also find occasionally that switching off via button at back helps it find it's brains. Not a bad idea to reboot modem/wireless router also

To check if update ok do the following.

menu
utility
system info
should show 2.12

Follow link to the new firmware, D/load it straight to your usb stick.

1: Remove Ethernet cable from sv
2: Put usb stick in box and go to usb in menu.
3: Load the new showmustgoon 2 firmware using [s/w upgrade].
4: After the sv has rebooted, Reset the sv to Factory Default
5: Scan for channels from main feed, do not change any settings(do not connect LAN yet)
6: Connect Ethernet/LAN to sv (give it 30 seconds)
7: Go to a encrypted channel like sly sports 1, press 1819 on Remote, should say enable

8: if after 2 mins, channels dont work, then turn off sv at the back, then after 2 mins turn on again

Spud, like you said it's a bit weird actually, as I say, tried all that and still 'not connected'. Kryptview works fine so connection must be there. The only thing I can think is that my modem is a modem/wireless router in one. As I say works fine with the Kryptview but not with the SV. Anyone else running a SV successfully with an all in one modem? Doggie8, cheers for that, followed your script before but I dont think this box likes me!! Will have another go later. Will let ya's know if I suss it.

Please understand that the boxes which were working with Showmustgoon V 1 will only work with version2 if you have box which was on carling and you havent updated with showmustgoon V1 will not work as the server is locked now and any box which was not re registerd in last 2 months with showmustgoon file will not work untill you contact your supplier and he will get some details of your box and pass to the supplier in Korea and after verifying that this box is the one sold by supplier and not from any copy guys they will fired them up... any new box coming from supplier will work ok with these files as they have incorporated the required security feature in the box with them..
pls check if your box was on showmustgon V1 in that case it will take V2 but if they were never connected in last 2 months speek to your supplier.....
good to know, many thanks
