My name says it all. Complete newbie and a dunce.

A couple of questions, and I hope that I am in the correct place.

when setting up DVD Shrink 3.2 in the Pref's tab what is the reccomended settings?

Using ImgTool. Does this have to be dropped into the root or does it work as a stand alone item on the desktop. When I unzip it it just sits there with a few files. When I click onto the EXE the program opens up reay for use. BUT it does not install onto my computer as such.

Hope I am in the correct place and that I have made myself clear.

Hi,

This is an addition to your question rather than an answer. Hopefully we can both learn something.

I've used DVD Decrypter along with DVD Shrink, with no problem so far, backing up single and dual layer DVD discs that I own. However, some guides and a few messages talk about ImgTool. I did download it but I don't quite see, so far, why I need it.

When would one use this? What does it do that Shrink & Decrypter don't do already?
