my refurbished dvd-rw burns cds, plays dvds, but when i attempted to use xcopy express it said that there were too many parameters. I have no clue what this means. I tried it on several different movies as I needed to back them up. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi boongoon, Shrink is a ripper, decrypter and compressor but can't actually burn back by itself. 2 choices to use for the burn back is NERO or Decrypter(free). In Shrinks settings you can chose which program you want to use to burn the dvd with. Once selected, the process is automatic. There are guides off the guide tab at page top to help if neede.
Sorry message was for ncaldwell.
Jerry

Hi all. :)

You can also use your own software to burn the files generated by DVD Shrink.
You simply have to make sure it can burn DVD-Video compliant files. ;)

Hey Boon
Xcopy is a Great program
First, do not have any other type of DVD player installed because it will cause major conflicts as I learned after trial and many errors
the only one that works well is PowerDVD.
Uncheck the Entire Disc box first then continue until it works.
There are some graphic programs that will cause problems. any third party DV Decoders will also cause problems so uninstall them until the program works.
Also use dvd-r which is best, at least for me.
My system specs
I have the following:

Build my own ComSys

AMD XP 3000 CPU
Win98 2nd. Ed.
1Gb PC3200 DDR Ram
ASUS A7N8X MOBO
256MB NVidia 5700 Graphics Board
Two 19Inch. Samsung Monitors
Sony DRU-500A External DVD/CD Read/Write plus & Minus
Yamaha CD-Burner
5.1 Logitech THX Sound System
Creative Labs 24bit Audigy Z2 Sound Card
Plus some extra Mods

also get rid of any open programs running in the background and anything you don't need on the startbar and also disable screen savers and antivirus programs

Let me know what's up

Peace
Nino.
