I have recently purchased a DVD-RW in order to backup my DVDs. I have downloaded DVD Shrink 3.2 for this purpose and have read the guide here on AfterDawn.com. However, I am wondering if it is possible to leave out all the extras on the DVDs completely instead of just compressing it? I would rather prefer better quality to the extra material.
Hope somebody would give a good answer!
P.S. I am from Denmark but I hope my english is not too bad :-)
If wanting to leave out extras ... but still have original menu , just do a 'full disc' but click on extras & use still image [this will give you the better compression rate : hence better video quality] :-)
Just another question, what audio-file should I choose when backing up a DVD that too large, and what audio-files should I leave out? On the DVD that I am about to try I can choose between following audiostreams:
1. AC3 5.1-kn english 372MB
2. AC3 2-kn english 187MB
3. AC3 2-kn english 160MB
Can I use number 1 even if my DVD-player does not support 5.1? Or do I have to use one of the others (or both)?
You can choose as many or as few of the audio options as you like , but if you want to save valuable space so as to improve video quality then I would suggest taking only:
